I freaking LOVE this one. Mike started off strong KNOWING they were going to be fighting eachother's order of operations and got everyone going so the chefs could come in and whip things into shape. I looks DELICIOUS and I actually really like the charred pepper cause it's bright and eye catching and probably also super tasty!!

Barry - i mean, we all know Jay - didn't add too much, but made good decisions James - balanced the flavors, made good decisions Ben - shaped the steps as a complete dish, added necessary aromatics to make the dish cohesive Mike - I gotta hand it to him, guys. I think this episode went well because he set up a solid base. They're not all too far apart in this ranking! Great efforts overall. A joy to watch.

I was especially impressed with Jamie in this one, actually. I think he did really, really well - especially for someone who was considered beforehand to be a "liability", simply because the dish was supposed to be vegetarian. He's the one who turned it into a curry, and basically inspired the final product. I think he underrated himself, and deserved a solid 7 or 8!

I love how descriptive they all are but most of all Ebbers. He really paints a full picture, I could almost smell and taste it myself. I feel like I learn a new thing every time he speaks.

the sympathy pepper was a nice addition. like comedic effect. proud of james' sense of humor with that one. could have split it but left it together at the top and split it over the top.
