Oh my....this was delicious. Just a quick note though - I didn't have enough of everything on hand so I halved this recipe. It still fed a hungry family of 4, 2 of whom had seconds and I froze half of it. It makes a LOT.

Hi Kerryann, this recipe saved my life last weekend when I was planning my dinner party after one of my (new) dinner guests had announced they are vegan ! It was so easy to make, quite beautiful (like a bowl of jewels beside the white rice and green coriander), so delicious to eat and so cheap too !! A winner on all accounts. Thank you so much.

Not so long ago a friend of mine hosted and cooked a roast for 5 of us, 6 including herself, I as a vegetarian only ate the veg but wanted to repay the favour, obviously with a vegetarian dish and couldn't think of anything that everyone would enjoy. I think this may be the recipe I needed! Thanks! I can see how when served with rice and a big plate of sharing nachos in the centre of the table it would go down an absolute storm!

Great dish!! the kind I would love to eat with my family when go visit. it's a lot like Indian, except that in India we would soak and cook the lentils and/or beans in a pressure cooker first... takes about 15 min in pressure... then mix into the chilli tomato sauce.. and simmer for a few min.

Kerryanne, it is important (for the taste) that the vegetables and other ingredients are chopped and cut evenly (more or less same size) because they are cooked evenly, which makes the dish more tasty and more round in taste. The Hindus do their curries like that, it contributes to the yummyness :D Gosia

Hi Kerryann just bought your book after seeing this! Looks great :) having looked though the book the roast chicken dinner, the chicken needs to be cooked on 200, for the roast potatoes in your book they need to be cooked on 220...what temp would you cook this on if you had these in the oven together and wanted to serve them at the same time? Thanks

Love you so much Kerryann, thanks for this amazing recipe. And hey its #Vegan happy coincidence ? or intentional ? either way, i am doubly happy. Please, pretty please make more vegan foods. I learned the amazing veggie pasta sauce from you, the one at the #FoodTube channel, i still make em all the time. For myself, for my friends, whom incidentally, just assumed its one of those organic vegan pasta sauce in a bottle. I mean they were asking me to let them know, were i bought it, and did not believe i made it myself. At that point i opened my browser and showed your video. You made some good times possible in my life, thank you for that. :) :)

Kerryann Dunlop I am new to cooking, a few days ago I tried making shrimp & pasta and it turned out to be not that great! I am glad you have this channel because even though I was disappointed with my attempted cooking i am not going to give up! question about this recipe: do we boil the lentils and beans before hand? or do we put them in raw? sorry for the silly question:-)
@MissNymwhen9 жыл бұрын
+CookieBellá CocoPuffs You use dries lentils (they just need an hour) and precooked beans. Canned beans are already cooked. If you have dried beens you maybe could combine the cooking processes but I don't know how that works. But I'm pretty sure the dried beans need more then an hour to cook and if you cook the lentils too long they turn into soup (we make that a lot too).
