@@soap9781 dont feel bad! sadly my 4 y/o isnt with me anymore (she passed from a neurological disorder :( ) but my other budgies took a while to trust me! im still working on them actually. it takes time, dont give up. the reason my 4 y/o trusted me so much was because she was raised to trust people and was partially blind, so she also depended on my to help her get around. every bird moves at their own pace so dont give up on them 💕

I give my birds different leaves and some carrot, turnip, and broccoli everyday. I also give them a different piece of fruit with it everyday so they don’t get bored of the same thing.

Oh i love the artichoke idea! i didn't know parrotlets could eat that....assuming if they get to the center it's ok too?? i'm thinking since i just have 1 parrotlet, using a whole artichoke might be wasteful if he doesn't finish it.

I am in the process of introducing my 5 month old budgies to fruits and veggies, so far they like spinach, carrots, and bananas! They hate bell peppers, with is really weird to me because my other 2 budgies love it, so I’m preparing their breakfast I always reach for the bell pepper and then I’m like nope!😂 but if anyone has any suggestions on what other fruits and veggies your budgies or other birds like that would be great! I also give them almonds every day! Also they don’t really like to eat their other veggies without carrots mixed in, and I know to much carrot isn’t great for them because it has a lot of starch, so idk what to do, for now I have been mixing in some carrots every day.

Ha. If I so much as slice their carrots in ribbons they will be afraid and make grumpy noises at me. First time I made chop they protested by throwing it on the floor, later they started nibbling at it when mixed in with seeds. Next time I made a bowl of chop, there was a tiny bit more lettuce, no strawberry and so it looked different. Again, they did not touch it xD Are my budgies broken?

I have a quaker, my bird absolutely LOVES green veggies, zucchini, spinach, broccoli but won’t eat anything that is red or orange, so nor bell peppers nor carrots. Anyone has a suggestion on how to get him to eat them? I’ve tried them all...He just ignores those foods

You can get carrots in a variety of colors and green bell peppers I hope this helps, my birds only eat apples bananpeel. Grapes Spanish and Romain lettuce then nibbles at bell peppers
