Rebuilding a low mile 2017 GMC Terrain Denali that was t-boned

Today we start a new build. It is a 2017 GMC Terrain Denali with only 34,800 miles. I happen to have the majority of parts to rebuild this Terrain so the build made sense. I was bidding against a dealer that hacks cars together and runs them back though the auction to prey on unsuspecting buyers. As we will find out in the build, repairing it properly requires more work that a person might think. Just looking good, isn't good enough.
Send your seatbelts and modules to www.myairbags.com to save some money on your next rebuild.

C'mon Scott, really? Boomer package? I am a boomer. Been an engineer for 43 years in a rather technical area of industry called Aerospace. I am a little miffed that you painted all of us with the same broad brush. Both my wife's vehicle and mine have navigation and sun roofs. We have iphones, laptops, tablets, wi-fi, indoor plumbing and electricity too. Imagine that?

What at first looks like a simple repair, is a lot more complex that it looks. The fact that the B pillar has shifted so much out of alignment means that someone who didn't know what they were doing could easily get it wrong. It will be interesting to watch you do the repair the right way so that the Terrain ends up as good as new and you'd never know that it had been crashed. Someone's going to get a nice vehicle when it's finished. Looking forward to the next video. Hopefully Mr Spotty gets shipped back with the rebuilt seat belts. All the best from Queensland Australia.

I'm one of those that is old enough to remember the problems with sunroofs and moonroofs. If they don't leak, the drains plug up with debris so water freezes in them either breaking the drain tubes or disconnecting them leaving the owner with a wet floor or rusting quarter panels or both. Then there are the times that they get stuck or something in the mechanism fails. I would never buy a car with a hole in the roof.

1:00 That red Nissan on the left needs a new CVT. Or it will need one soon. Or maybe Scott has replaced it already this week. The three stages of a Nissan CVT are: Will need replacement. Needs replacement. Has been recently replaced.

Tall people don’t like sunroofs because in many vehicles you lose a fair amount of head room because of them. SUVs are usually ok but most other cars are too low. I was once offered a sweet deal on an BMW M6 but I couldn’t drive it without my head cranked sideways. I don’t know if I missed out or dodged a bullet.
