Kymco resale is terrible, but that means you can get them cheap in the used market. This scooter costed 7000$ brand new and has all the goodies a top end bike has.

I have one for the last year. $3000 including tax and delivery. Changed the windscreen for a Givi and Shad bag. I have come to like it vey much. Not a Honda but good for the price.

Interesting they used such small tires considering it's a 500cc. I agree with your thoughts on loud exhaust. I would be searching the web for original exhaust system. Careful scraping the pipe it could damage the cylinder. Kymco seems like a quality bike. I say that only from Kymco owner reviews. I would purchase if I could save $$$ over Japanese brand. No i don't consider Chicom bikes.

How could I forget SYM. Few years back I owned a wolf classic 150cc reliable fun bike.

Great review but your idle is way too high. Your back tire shouldn't be spinning like that when you crank it.

I'm looking at a used 2010 with 27,000 miles. Do you think that's too many miles?

No its not much. 500cc is a pretty large engine size. 27k isn't much for many bikes.

I have this bike, and I also have a Burgman 650. I find this Xciting model not fast enough. Maybe there is something wrong with mine but I may upgrade the variator.

Don’t waste money. The exciting500 is a much slower bike than the burgman 650.

@@thebulgarianguy8461 500 cc bikes are not slow! Can't believe you would say that....slow compared to what? A crotch rocket ninja bike? Come on man!....What is the top speed of this bike? Guaranteed it is plenty fast enough for any road or interstate....maybe slow if you want to be racing people....this is a luxury scooter and not meant to be racing anyone....

@@JQUICK21 my xciting500 would top out at 94mph according to the gps. It was absolutely adequate in terms of high speed. However, in terms of acceleration it was lacking for the size of the engine. That’s what I meant.
@clevernduruza8624 Жыл бұрын
@@JQUICK21 actually is slow for a 500cc mostly because it have only 38hp that's less power than a carburetted honda cb400 from the 80s

I own one. Great styling, but the Xciting is about as exciting watching paint dry. Underpowered with sluggish handling. Not at all fun to ride.
