Back in May 2010, we purchased a 2011 Sonata Limited in Pearl White. My wife's car primarily and she is a very conservative driver--she has never been stopped for any moving violation and, this car made it to 236,000 miles before seizing up--yes, we serviced it regularly and according to factory specifics. I do know of many cars in this Sonata's price range that have made it to 500K miles, so we got what we p[aid for...a nice looking car with a lot of standard equipment with a weak and cheaply made power plant. At $27,000 back in 2010, this Hyundai was priced below both the Camry and the Honda Accord EX-L. You get what you pay for and this Sonata should have gone further with the proper maintenance we gave it. Just beware, when you fall in love with this 2024 Sonata and buy it...the product is not made to the level of other mid-size competitors in the 32K-$36K price range. I will never purchase an inferior Hyundai ever again. I do regret stating this but?

It depends on how you take care of your car. You must change the engine oil regularly. I hwve my hyundai coupe for 19 years now, its still running great. Engine still running good, just last month i need to change the lower arms to hold the tyres, steering pumps..but of course i need to checkmthe alignment regularly as in Brunei some roads are bumpy.

A great looking vehicle. They’ve come a long way since the Excel. If by chance you don’t like it, give Hyundai a couple years and they’ll change it.

Just got my 2024 a few days ago. I like the panoramic sunroof. One thing i do wish it has is self closing trunk. So far so good. I haven't found anything i dont like yet. I did go with the Portofino grey color. Usually i dont get dark colors as they show dirt more. And in this dark color, it really hides the body detail as the light colors show up. But i chose it and thats on me.

This is a very nice car. Your review was well done, and informative. A huge improvement in every way. It should sell very well. I bought a new K5 GT LINE with premium package in May of 21. Love it. Been flawless. Great freeway cruiser. Ive kept it looking brand new.

Hi, I have the 2023 Sonata. I saw videos saying the hybrid battery needs maintenance to extend the battery life. I was able to find the vents that lead to the hybrid battery but I can't find where the filters is that leads to the hybrid battery. I saw that the filter needs to be cleaned or the battery will over heat. Do you know where the filter is for the hybrid battery is in the 2023 model? Thanks for your time.

Yes it’s more of a lite gray tho and the tan is very lite as well

Why the hell the SEL with a panoroof dont have vents in the back 😟 youre spending too much money in a car which will have people in the back to not have vents.

This is a mid size sedan and under 30k. Good luck finding another brand in it's class that can match this along with a warranty like Hyundai. To dismiss this car because the lack of an air vent and completely ignore what options you do is flat out ignorant.

They omitted this option in the U.S. version, but, icluded the rear vents in the Asian shipped cars. Overall, these Hyundais are cheaply made and have weak power plants--interals of the engine are cheaply produced and assembled imo.

Because you have to spend more to get the vents like limited hybrid trim
