Thats true there really aren't... kudos to him for at least being ambitious enough to try
@magicdildo15599 жыл бұрын
same, I've actually started a nice little idea/project from the chorus and the word mikasa has taken on a new meaning for me. to me, mikasa means to achieve immortality through making small changes to your environment such as signing your mame on a wall. as long as that wall is up and your name is on there, you will live forever in the minds of those who see the your name, whether it be arranged in stones on a beach, on a wall somewhere, etc. that is what mikasa means to me and why I truly love the chorus so much.

Chris White I think he did a great job, it's a hard chorus to sing.
@ScheduledChip9 жыл бұрын
Yeah of course it's hard to sing live right at the upper limit of your vocal range, particularly after screaming. I don't know why they didn't just play it in a lower key though; I'd rather hear this song played a tone or so lower and in tune rather than identically to the studio version and flat. Those soaring notes in the chorus are meant to be the big crescendo in the song after all.
@FigNeutered9 жыл бұрын
+Chris White I think that high note in the chorus is the only one he couldn't get at that time. maybe the reason the didn't drop the tuning a step or so is because he can get it from time to time. people usually dont look too critically at how the singer is singing in most metalcore bands (look at how famous the Amity Affliction is and their bassist can't sing at all live) so they just let it stay how it is.
@Tommylp209 жыл бұрын
+taylor goulart all the cleans are a little flat, however I think more than his vocal range being pushed too much it's more likely that his in ears are a little crappy and not giving him a clear idea of where he needs to be, a lost of vocalists will pitch a little flat when they can't hear themselves clearly. The reason I think this is more that he's consistently flat rather than fluffing one or two notes.

As much as I love this song, they should drop it a half or whole step for the performance cause that range is something I doubt he can do night after night considering how his screams are. I'd hate for them to never do a song like this again on future records.
@XxHybridarmyXx9 жыл бұрын
+Chris Misery Why are you worrying about them? let them do their thing
@KurisuatWAR9 жыл бұрын
XxHybridarmyXx Because I love this band and I love the direction they're going in. I would hate to see him hurt his voice and not be able to to something that he can do, or lower the quality of what he does because he hurt himself. I encourage this sound I just hope he doesn't hurt his voice, it sounded like a strain for him to sing like that.
@Unknownusername10048 жыл бұрын
+Chris Misery its always gonna sound strained when you sing at your highest range and scream at the same time you'll even hear a voice crack occasionally from all the air being pushed from the diaphragm. Considering there were absolutely no backing vocal tracks he killed this even with a few flat notes here and there in mikasa.
@KurisuatWAR8 жыл бұрын
