Someone OUGHT to give that ORGANIST and that ORGAN a Congressional Medal of honor. This is how Morning worship should begin in the Christian church.... Powerful praise to God!!!!! Listen to that 32 foot pedal pipe..........

Sad that many churches have moved away from this.

He played too fast though. It's not a race.

Just a little more background; I believe the organ introduction was written by Dr Paul Manz........now published by morning star music.....originally by Concordia Publishing House....some of the hymn improvisations seem to reflect back on Dr Manz performances.......don't know if the organist studied [as I did] with Dr Manz, ...... or just a follower of his performance style......from my memory banks there maybe a couple of written improvisations on the hymn verses and maybe even a transcribed choral score that was the foundation for this performance

Organist played too fast and then changed tempo. It's like he couldn't make up his mind. Yes the instrument is great but the organist needs to lay off the coffee.

No doubt these words were written during WWII. In Fosdick's "A Great Time To Be Alive," written in that time, the first words were "This certainly is a ghastly time to be alive." But then he goes on to tell why it's a great time to be alive.

Ditch the Screens!!

Why?!?!?!
@anthonycooper1425 жыл бұрын
Actually, many older people find the use of screens easier for their eyes. On widely popular songs and hymns it's not such a problem as an additional aid. I love the use of both Hymnals and screens.

Most definitely! Those old screens up by the grand organ! What’s wrong with hymnals?
