Vektor owes everything to Killing Technology and David wears Voivod shirts pretty often... this is sorta the band that's keeping that album alive. Keep listening to Vektor, I really think that if you like KT that much you'll eventually like Vektor just as much.

You know, this is what I'm starting to miss. These riffs are so solid, so many metal bands now adays focus so much on being fucking ridiculously technical and fast, to the point where it feels like the soul of the song gets lost. I've always felt a solid riff is the backbone of a song, the solo is the high point, and everything else is support. But so many bands seem to nail everything EXCEPT for extremely solid and memorable riffs.

It's all good, and yes, they are tastefully technical. A lot like Death, technical, and yet easy to understand and very memorable. Not just a cyclone of notes.

this is easily among best thrash albums I've heard since the 80's & 90's era, with destruction's "antichrist" and holy moses "agony of death" ..ritual carnage's "every nerve alive" and fastkill all somewhere behind it. Vektor's raised the bar.

Is it weird that i dont care for voivod, but i love Vektor? I don't think so. Vektor just took "some" influence from voivod, and made it better, like if Voivod passed the "torch of creativity" to Vektor and Vektor took care of the rest. And offcourse DiSanto on vocals is just fucking sick..

Way to miss the point; bands like Obscura and Beyond Creation are exceptions, they are not at all commonplace. And that was my point, far too much of metal is unimaginative, or is technical for its own sake, and quoting a few standout bands in a sea of mediocrity does nothing to change what I said.
