Velma is CANCELLED

Scooby-Doo spinoff Velma is officially cancelled. For a while, this was the Internet's least favorite cartoon as it took all of the magic out of the Scooby-Doo franchise with a generic adult animated comedy format. Is it good news to hear Velma cancelled and not continuing after Season 2?

The fact that the canonical ending is that Velma dies because of Scrappy-Doo of all people is just perfect. Edit: Also, the cliffhanger ending means that Velma didn't come back to life, and was instead taken by the grim reaper.

A show born from toxicity and hatred failed and finally got cancelled? Not surprised. From the start, it was already aimed towards a very small audience. Meanwhile it completely disrespected the source material and at times berated it. I still remember the announcement for the show had Velma on the phone telling people that didn't like how the show was going to be done to screw off because they don't know what's good. It went something like that I am sure of it. Criticism is perfect fine and important. I like it because I find it entertaining, that’s it. Criticism was necessary so that the studio won’t make the same mistake going forward (at least in other peoples opinions) but no one gained anything from it being cancelled, all that did was take away from the people who enjoyed it… yet people celebrate it.

Having Talented Artists is one thing, having Untalentless Hacks of Writers is another, which Velma was unfortunately the victim of. Forced to do animate and draw as a job for a project you know fully well is going to not go over well is just one of those things in the industry, It wouldn't shock me if the Velma Artists and Animators had the foresight to have a back up plan whenever Velma gets the axe, if not well it's a rough time. There's always a need for talented folks at their craft, which the industry is slowly learning, I can imagine Genndy the Samurai Jack and Primal creator wouldn't mind some extra hands on deck or someone working in animation that wouldn't mind the extra help on the odd project or two.
