Velocity Keyboard: what does it do that other apps don’t?

Day 1167: other apps still haven’t integrated this incredible technology. Imagine if koala’s pads had this or AUM had it in their default keyboard. I thought this was such a game changer it would be a standard feature by now

If I thought this worked in GarageBand and Logic Pro easily and with no issues I would buy in a heartbeat, but there appears to be too many hoops to jump through.

This app is almost a full substitute for my roli seaboard when I go traveling. I am wondering if there is Lift (i.e. detecting when the finger leaves the screen at the same value as the velocity)? I am currently using it with Spectrum, which can map parameters to Lift. Also, is there a reason you didn't create a traditional keyboard layout (or at least have some vertically longer keys)? It would provide more room for slides.

I’m looking for apps to use with my seaboard and lightpad M. i have 2 questions First one if the most reason to buy this app is because the sensitive of the screen is better with this app than the others, if i will use mpe midi controllers, i will be wasting the best feature of the app? 2) how would be the scales in the seaboard if i change the scale in the app? It would change the notes or something like that where the (“white key” i know that in this piano all keys are black) would be always the diatonics? 3) do you know if ifretless sax and brass have mpe feature? Because in the roli website they put ifretless guitar, sax, brass and bass as mpe apps that works with seaboard but... in the appstore only figure the bass

Hi Hugo. First up, I want to make sure we don't give you a wrong impression about what this app does - this is a MIDI controller ONLY; it does not have a synthesiser built-in and therefore it does not make sound unless you connect it to a synth app or synth hardware. I can not think of any reason why you would want to connect this app to a Roli Seaboard. Sax and Brass do not support MPE but they will very soon.

Blue Mangoo Software well first, thank you for clarify me the purpouse of the app. English is not my first language and i’m still learning so, sometimes i misunderstand the things haha, i thoguht that would be like another app to use with midi mpe controllers like ifretless bass but with a synth and idk differents ways of composing. Second, ifretless guitar would be update to mpe with audio unit and the same staff of feature that have ifretless bass right now? Would be in another app or a purchases in app or with an free update, because i was thinking in buy the four apps and wait to the updates if it will be included in the actual apps. And last question, you would be interested in do a video comparing ifretless sax (when it has mpe) with the sax of swam? Because untill now the swam presets are the only ones that let you to have this kind of instrument as a lot of sax, strings and wood wind instruments with mpe on ios. But the problem is that they didn’t let you use in the audio unit app of noise (that is the only way to get them, buying in the noise app their sound packs) a lot of people in the forums ios apps for musicians like audiobus and roli forums ask about change that but no answer, the only solution is connect the ipad as audio unit to the mac and then record the audio and midi in logic using the sounds from the ipad (in this case swam sounds) is the only way to record that. So you would be a pretty good options if your 3 apps has similar presets to they and with the same or better quality because in your case you will let audio unit too and we could record that in daws. By the way, another question ifretless bass could be use as audio unit in garageband? Cause in the appstore doesn’t specify with which daws. Well thank you for your time and answer me, i have great hopes with your ifretless mpe apps.

Hugo Sanches iFretless guitar will update to have MPE support and most of the same features that iFretless Bass has. Sax and Brass will update soon. Guitar will take longer because we have more changes planned for it.

Hans Anderson well thank you, i will buy the bundle with all ifretless apps and wait for the updates. And i think that drum session too is another excellent app i wish that you would added to the bundle too.
