I have used these gloves for just close to 2 years now. They have seen long long hours on the bike during cold UK conditions. Worth the investment, absolutely. You have full dexterity when cycling and complete protection from the elements. All the stitches, ASSOS logo and grippers are still like new even after heavy usage. Love from London!

Good to know! After one use which I created the video on the road, they became my go to gloves for any ride below 10 Celsius. They created my interest in other Assos products that I am currently investigating. The head, hands and feet are critical to successfully staying outside and I intend to invest in the right pieces to protect those areas in cold and wet conditions all year long.

@@Veloharmony Superb! I also have the ASSOS winter cap. It covers the ears nicely and is very low profile under a helmet. My helmet is very ‘breathable’ so the winter cap was very much needed. The cap has been used for the same duration as my gloves. Currently there is a sale with ASSOS at the time of writing this. For overshoes, I am angling towards SPATZ Roadman 3 (newly released following on from their v2). A few friends have the v2’s and their reviews are excellent.

I just received the Assos Ultraz Winter Overshoes and will be testing them. I will also test additional rain overshoes from Assos made for all year wet riding.

These gloves are definitely worth the investment for the winter. My go to glove. The gloves are the same warmth as the Castelli Estremo gloves that I have, but the Assos ones have better exterity and are more thinner in material giving you a better feeling on the brake levers. The Castelli gloves are no longer needed.

In your opinion would you recommend this type of glove for work in a walk in chill around 45 degrees Fahrenheit where dexterity is a plus.

As far the temperature, they would work, but the dexterity they give are limited to cycling specific ability to shift, get a bar or gel out of your pocket etc. If you need finer handling, then I don't think any glove would work. To get warmth, there's a trade-off.

I have my 'Assos' gloves for a few days now and used them on my early winter morning rides. The temps are are around 0 to -3 C. and the 'Assos' are as useless as any of my other gloves and glove combinations. They are well made but useless for real cold weather riding. All the' reviews' are positive and that's why I bought them. Maybe some 'reviewers' get paid for pushing product. A $125 later my hands are still icy cold and I'll keep searching for truly warm gloves for my cold weather rides.

In those ranges, you most like may need to layer. There is no one glove that serves all temperature ranges and every rider is different. Some riders run colder than others and if you're going to ride in temperatures below 0 Celsius you will need to either layer or find 'mittens' that are specifically designed for those temperature ranges, since cold is relative from one rider to another.

@@Veloharmony I'll try 'Castelli Estremo' now. Would not touch 'Assos' products with a barge pole!

It is best to research each cycling piece before purchasing because some of them overlap in function and use.
