Hey Nick. Great video! Welcome to the east coast. Where did you get that Best Practice literature? I'm wondering how liberal they would be with the N-line series since they are supposed to be sportier as well.

I found it with a quick google. I'd imagine it is also in the warranty information packet that comes with the car. Check your owners manual.

wheels look soo good! what wheel specs are you running im looking to do something similar
@NickMakesBreaksStuff3 жыл бұрын
Wheels are OZ Hyper GT HLT, 18x8, I believe 56 offset. Tires are 245/40-18 on front, 235/40-18 on rear. Thanks for watching, and for the kind words!

@@NickMakesBreaksStuff Is there a reason you didn’t go with a square stance? Does it help with handling?
@NickMakesBreaksStuff3 жыл бұрын
@@glubibobi what do you mean square stance? Like the same tire size on all corners? I use wider tires in front than in the rear for autocross, it helps the car rotate more off power. Might try 245 on all four though when the 235 rears wear out.
@glubibobi3 жыл бұрын
@@NickMakesBreaksStuff Yes, exactly! Sorry, I think the term "square stance" is typically used when talking about wheels. I'm interested in an N as my next car but I've heard they understeer a lot in autocross so that makes sense. Have you considered getting a rear sway way?
@NickMakesBreaksStuff3 жыл бұрын
@@glubibobi I honestly like the way it feels the way it is, I have no problem getting the rear to slide, and it can definitely spin off throttle at corner entry if you're not careful. Like I said, I may put 245s on the back as well next time. I do have the performance pack so I have the electronic diff, which I've heard makes a huge difference when it comes to understeer and torque steer. When autocrossing I find that it has a predictable amount of understeer through mid-late corner, which can be reduced further by adding negative camber up front and wider tires. I'm certainly no expert though, just speaking from my own experiences. Usually you see more improvement through practice than by changing parts. Most people don't like to hear that though.

Will this fit fine on the DCT N as well?

it does.

Will this void the factory warranty? I used a drop in filter and run with the lid off. I figured if I had to convert it back prior to a claim it would be a snap, but I sure would love to get one of these in my car.

I just installed my injen intake and I'm slightly concerned with it running rich and whatnot... how is yours running now? and did you get a bov?
@NickMakesBreaksStuff3 жыл бұрын
No need to worry about running rich or lean on a modern fuel injected car if you're not messing with the sensors. The computer takes car of fuel mixture thousands of times a minute. I'm running the stock BOV. Runs great, sounds amazing.

It should, as far as I know the only potential fitment issues would be with DCT models.
