Nice looking bike, good ride

It does ride nice, just need a little more rise on the handlebars. It definitely is a quiet riding bike and very nimble.

Some of that rattling noise you hear is very, possibly the chain. Upgrade the derailer. As far as the kickstand goes, I wonder about a sniffer spring.

After this video I did remove the kickstand. But, there is still some chain noise, and I will be upgrading the derailleur.

Curious if you had to sacrifice the headlight to upgrade the handlebars? I've read the headlight on the Summit 1 is integrated into the stem.
@theridewithlance5 ай бұрын
The headlight is attached the the handlebar clamp, and the wiring goes into the steering tube. Its just a matter of taking it off the handlebar clamp and unplugging the headlight. I could put it back on if I wanted to. So no, I did not have to sacrifice the headlight for the handlebars. I just choose to leave it off for now.

Can you tell me what set of handlebars you used and any special things needed to switch it out.
@theridewithlance5 ай бұрын
Here is the link to the bars: amzn.to/49nmUc4 They are from a company called Gewage and I used the 31.8-90mm Rise set. I did not need anything else. Used the same stem that came with the bike and swap all the controls over to the new bars.

@@theridewithlance Thank you Lance. Do you think the wires are long enough on the gear to use the 120 mm bars. Raise it up another 1.5 inches or so? Thanks

Do you think the wires are long enough to use a 5 inch rise on the handlebars Lance?
@theridewithlance5 ай бұрын
@@stevemaas810 I looked at my setup with a 3.5 inch rise. I looks like control panel on the left side, including the brake might ot have enough slack to raise it another 1.5 inches.
@SteveMaas-p4g5 ай бұрын
@@theridewithlance Thanks Lance. You had mentioned wanted to raise yours another inch or so higher. Found a set of handlebars that should put the grips at 5 inches vs 3.5 inches height that you are aiming for. Should sit someone up in a straighter position.

I sure like bleeding Shimano brakes a TON more than SRAM style brakes.
