This fruit has been described in contrasting ways and I can't figure out if it's just people's different sensibilities or different cultivars or different stages of ripeness. Anyway, I finally planted three seedlings this year and now that I've watched your video, I really hope at least one of them fruits someday. It sounds like a a wonderfully complex fruit. Perhaps that's why people notice widely different aspects of it. Fascinating! I will look for your video about growing the tree. Thanks!

Thanks Nef! This fruit is probably not so popular because in fully ripe stage it becomes mushy and the flavor changes a lot! When it is in the stage of ripeness right like in the video (slightly underripe), it’s fantastic, juicy, tiny bit acidic but very well balanced with sugar and flavors. One extra day on the counter and nothing of the excellent flavor remains, it becomes like a bad apple basically and even more mushy. I love this fruit, but when it gets too overripe it’s almost impossible to eat.
