Yeah it still amazes me to this day how good Duff and Slash look. Duff's pancreas burst on him and he almost died, Slash drank very heavily and was using heroin as well. Both are lucky to be alive. Scott was withering away at this point and I don't blame Howard for saying he didn't believe he was sober. He seemed a bit out of it here but maybe he was sober. Sad to see him go, he was a great singer.

@RJ Long the beginning of 07 was an okay point for him, he said Libertad is the only album besides core that he recorded clean. Unfortunately he relapsed mid 2007 after his Brother passed away. After that he was never really the same again. He claimed he was clean during the last few years of his life, but I think he rationalized not doing H as being clean. Even tho he was on a lot of other stuff.

@@serjsidey7348 This is a year too late, but you are spot on. You have to have the guy who is going to look out for everyone and try to steer the discussions away from GNR, GNR, GNR when you are standing there in a new band with a new frontman. Matt was right and did a great job. And Stern was a p.o.s. to Scott. He should be ashamed of himself. Guy is sober and has been through so much and you're telling him he isn't going to make it and will be back on drugs. I would have bitch slapped him and gone to jail. I kind of wish Slash had said something then cause when Slash got pissed at Howard before for stepping too far in the past and it almost shut Howard up. That's the best you can get with him. He loves making people who just got sober tell them what drugs and alcohol they love and did. He did that to Duff when he got cleaned up years before this. Who cares what it does to them?

Secondly, Douchard Stern is bombarding them with drug questions and stirring that drama pot about their old bands when most of them were uncomfortable with it and Scott Slash and Matt said it out loud.
