Ven ikh bin 13 - old Yiddish song record in Ein Karem Jerusalem

This song comes from my album "Jewish Folksongs from the Shtetl" and its part of the repertoire of Mariam Nirenberg - Jewish folksinger from Polesye. Mariam learned this song in her teens in her village Czarnawczyce. Ive combined the music with extracts of the wedding tune: "Siman tov, mazl tov" and the traditional Yiddish song "Joshke fort avek".

English translation:
When I was 13 years old, I came of age
I went to work to avoid the dole
I ended up on relief and had a lots of troubles
The matchmaker confused me with the cursed "I do".
I got engaged and immediately got married
May my enemies be cursed with the shrew the one I got
No sooner does the person want to marry, he is worse off then converted

When I became twenty one
I was drafted into the army
I was a soldier for Alexander the Third
Nothing has made me suffer as much as saying: "I do".

@@Olginiam спасибо, поинтересуюсь. может, и удастся обнаружить записи. больше межвоенный польских танг, пожалуйста. тоска по Вере Войне, Поле Негри, да и по Фалишевскому тоже. огромное счастье - услышать в вашей интерпретации репертуар Гжесюка. он был тонкий лирик, а не тупо "сын улицы". как и Аркадий Северный, вообще говоря.
