Yeah 😅 I know a lot of vendor friends who opted out bc of it. They used to offer a canopy with your payment but they stopped this year

we were here vending as well! My god, 626 night market is a mess. They didn't have chair rentals despite us emailing to double check, and actually the biggest issue is we purchased TWO booths and they messed up and gave us one and did not really try to resolve it outside of just saying sorry and giving us a refund. We had to fix the issue ourselves basically and the moment we figured out a solution they emailed us saying, okay give us back the money lmao. Anyway, after hearing your thoughts about it, I feel like it confirms our feelings of not coming back to these events. I was really hoping they would be good so I'd have an excuse to move to cali to do events there but truly it was just okay. Thanks as usual for your videos! I was able to drop by your booth at acen and hope to see you at some future cons too!

Oh no that's awful! I think they're spreading themselves thin now that they're trying to do more locations throughout California and are automating the application process instead of having vendor reps like last year. It also seemed as if there were less 626 staff this year and my section manager never checked in with us except for the first day

I'm really bummed because I didn't get access to the Artist Alley discord and I'm really trying to start vending in the states, I've been to enough conventions in my country and have my work but I'm too new I guess? I intend to start applying to USA conventions next year and since I don't have access to the discord your videos are a lifesaver, it keeps me informed on potential cons I would like to travel to, I always appreciate your input and my setup has improved so much thanks to your tips! So thank you! 800$ is just too much when they are offering basically nothing for you, I'm glad your numbers where at least ok!

This is a great behind-the-scenes video. I always enjoy going to OC Night Market, as an attendee. I haven't been a vendor though. Did you end up going back for the final weekend? How did it go?

Pretty informitive and entertaining. Random suggestion but if you are looking for to exhibit in the westcoast outside of California, then I reccomend applying to Emerald City Comic Con and Sakura Con. Both cons are in Seattle, WA.

I'm moving to LA in November and would love to test out 626 market! I'm a printmaking artist primarily though so maybe prints aren't the best items compared to something like Cloris who makes a killing with her pet keychain market

There are a few print artists that sell at 626 and seem to do pretty well! It just depends on the type of art prints!

Oh no I'm sorry to hear that, I'm not familiar of other discord servers but the only one I know is www.artistsalleyconfidential.com/ but it's not always updated. However, you can use it as a guide on what cons may be happening

They did ya'll dirty in the promenade. It looks like attendees had almost no incentive to hang out in that area. Seems like they could have put another row of booths in the middle to attract more people.

I agree, there was way too much space in the center. I feel as if they could have just move all the spaces closer, I don't think there were more vendors who'd want to be there bc of the increase in price
