Being able to try different areas of Japan within Tokyo is really a fantastic idea. I know people who will literally go to Japan just to eat the wonderful food. Time isn't on their side in terms of visiting all around the country, so this is just remarkable. I hope they keep expanding these vending machines! Far more affordable than opening up another restaurant and finding out that it may or may not do so hot there.

Crazy to think that at one point in the States, you could get a complete meal hot or cold from a machine. Someone did open one or two up a few years back but the usual issues caused it to close. Theft and people acting like it was bad food. Went to one when I was a kid while on our 8th grade class trip. Got a cheeseburger with fries and the fries were crispy and hot and the cheeseburger was great. Probably loved it more due to coming from a machine.

Oh, I haven't thought of Sri Lankan curry in ages: it used to be my favourite dish to eat when dipping my toes into the food scene in Toronto in the late 70's-early 80's. I do remember loving it a lot. I think I need to try that sake machine to truly find one that I enjoy. At least that'd be an excuse for overindulging 😂 This was an epic mealtime, Eric. It's so hard to pick a favourite. I can find incredible daifuku here in St. Catharines which took me by surprise. Actually, I have to say each item you bought to try was incredible. Vending machines are so common in Japan, yet I'm still in awe every time I'm introduced to a new one; can't wait to try these for myself! Cheers from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 Take care of yourself Eric. PS: I'm still taking the stairs now every time I see them. I think I take them 85% of the time now. Great tip.

That's why i love mom and pop shops Eric, they offer better quality food, but at a very good price. Plus you can tell the pure love, that is put into each and every meal that is crafted. It's a true art form, that people seem to shortcut too much for automation and time crunches. It's where food quality these days slip so downhill, that not very many know what true food made with love tastes like.
