RITUAL ZOMBIES YOO!! Vendread (NEW archetype).. Still missing a couple of cards, but they're FAR from crucial since both Vendread Reventants (the lv4; like a 1-off) and Reorigin (trap card) are kinda 'hmm' (for now).. It's all about SLAYER!!

Great vid as always! I really like the look of Slayer/Origin as a new semi-boss monster in Zombies! I'm really excited to see what a purer Vendread build looks like down the line. Konami have done a great job of giving us something to please the fans here - another exclusive archetype we can play from set 1, and a good Ritual and Zombie deck!

+kouthao It's because Revendread Origin lists the specific monster Revendread Slayer, while Machine Angel Ritual lists Cyber Angel monsters in general. Pre-Prep asks that a specific Ritual Monster be listed on the Ritual Spell it searches.

It may be no Burning Abyss but that is fine. It has a good start, it has great engines to work with that we already have and being Zombie gives them SYNERGYYYYY. The problem comes from the Vendread monsters needing to be on the field when used for the Ritual Summon. That COULD be very annoying at times! There is potential for it to be really good but WILL it get there? :]

. What? If anything, I was complimenting Burning Abyss having an excellent start when they first premiered and for QUITE a while, they've really struck around! Obviously the Vendread archetype isn't quite like Burning Abyss but there is potential for them.

deck is very promising, much more than the (F)reaking (A)wful archetype, which is sad because I like the artwork, design, and concept of F.A.s, they're just, at least for now, a s****y normal summon, battle focused archetype, as it needs swarming for the concept to work.

F.A's would be quite good as an any XYZ any time archetype if they get some swarmers. I want a card from them that special summons from hand whenever a monster changes it's level. A card that specials from the deck when it hits level 7 and immediately turns that monster into a level 7.

This archetype works very well in 40++ decks. Mill cards, using fairy tail snow banishing evening twilight knight and beginning knight from the graveyard to get both ritual spell and monster, OR you can do that without fairy tail only by using zombie world. To recycle them back is as easy as normal summoning necroface.

You should check out the deck recipe for The Wind Stromborg (The guy who returns to the hand your tribute material), apparently they encourage you to use it with Magical Hats to psuedo-search any spell or trap in your deck.

If you want to use the cards on the Ygopro Link update you could just extract the database entry (its the cards.cdb or in the expansions folder) extract the script from the lua folder with the accompying id and copy it into the ygopro link folder that way you could use those cards at least against ai or lan games.

I don't think this is a List I would play post Link-Summoning. In my opinion going for a more controlling approach with swallow Style and the Vendread Trap would be what I imagine is going to be the go-to build. Also Leviar with Darlington the Predaplant engine just seems to good to pass if Omega gets banned.

Meat Rainbow You realize he also has to pretty much entirely rewrite the code for the field zones and Extra Deck types, make sure the new pendulum zones work properly as normal S/T zones when there isn't a Pendulum in them and Pendulum zones when there is, code in the different interactions for Pendulums summoned from the hand and the extra deck and make sure the code recognizes the difference and handles it properly, add Extra Link functionality, properly code Extra Deck monsters that are returning to the field to go in the main zone instead of the extra zone, and THEN he can start on the complexities of Link monsters, which involves coding a brand new summon mechanic , how Links function when used for link summons, how their lack of level interacts with existing cards (which is not as simple as making them level 0) and how their inability to be in Def interacts with existing cards. It's not nearly as simple as adding in, for example, Synchros.

The fact that you need to have a good amount of Ritua Dead Draws compared to the 3 Malicious that disappear quickly with Destiny Draw *is* what makes it worse. The bosses are the same Synchros, except for Dark Law vs an eventual banisher and it's pretty clear which one is the superior one here

Mofiz not really. You only need the ritual spell in your hand as you can ritual summon vendread from graveyard. Also you can toss the ritual monster to summon houndhorde from graveyard. More vendreads coming soon and it'll be GREAT
