Your government sounds a lot like mine, in the United States, numb to the hurt and hardships of its own people. Why are the Chilean military and border police not guarding against this influx? Or at least overseeing it in an orderly and safe way?

But when the ruling policies of one country, unleash a biblical in scope, exodus of broken banished people upon the world. Then that country is no longer acting for itself alone. I was taking lessons from a Venezuelan teacher on line. I turned up every day and paid her the same as I would in England. That money paid for her 2 related families in Venezuela. I am a kind person who used my money to help another person. If everyone did that instead of saying sorry, what a better world this would be. Each one of us has the chance to change to world. I have lived in Colombia and Brazil so I know how it is there. The Western countries only care about taking a holiday. I live on less and send food money to my friends who feed the street people too. That is what we could all do if we lived on a budget to get through this together

Is the whole world just a sad place to live? Its like everywhere there is homeless from America to even Chile. I mean its not that hard to come up with a plan. Seemingly humanity is stupefied we are at a point in human history where technology and what we know is at a pinnacle. Yet still we do things unnecessarily or rather we allow ourselves to be duped into chaos. Yet again another horrendous chapter in human history goes forth. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, among powers, against the rulers of darkness in this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. How precise these words speak truthfully, it thoroughly explains why man consistently goes through things that otherwise can clearly be attributed to just plain evil. God bless anyone who asks Jesus Christ to help Venezuelans break the curse or whatever their facing. Lets help one another instead of being envious, spiteful, hateful, these things are distracting & exhausting. LETS SNAP OUT OF IT TOGETHER!

Chile is completely different from the rest of Latin countries, it only shares the language. Chileans are excessively hard-working, very calm and not very loud people. Millions of immigrants have come to Chile in recent years, not only from Venezuela (almost from all Latin American countries) and they have altered things, things that were rare before. This has been very shocking, especially in the border regions. Venezuelans are the group of immigrants that have best adapted to Chile, but this second wave that is entering illegally through the northern border has not been well received because most of them are poor people, with criminal records, and they don’t work.

No César, venezuelans are not the best adapted here, in fact, i can say they are the least adapted. You can say that about argentinians, peruvians, bolivians, but venezuelans are way so different from us, and they have very different idiosyncracy. It is very shocking.

Both are dangerous. Either cross the Andres mountains, or the desert. Either way it's tough if you want to avoid border control. Even when the Spaniards first arrived to colonize they lost hundreds on the crossing. Both routes are very cold.
