Today I went to Venice Beach And for the first time I realized how many businesses are out of business in Venice Once Venice Beach was the number one tourists attraction now it feels like it’s a ghost town There are still people on the beach but nobody is really buying anything

The legacy media exists to promote a narrative. No one wants to talk about what insanely high taxes, an out of control homeless addict population, and useless covid lockdowns actually do. The ministry of truth doesn't want people to know that. Stay home, stay scared, vote how we tell you.

I think all the homeless setting up shelter in front of the business makes the business district look unattractive and trashy. It makes the tourist and customers not want to hang around the place or shop. High rent also contributes to people leaving state of California and low wage. Salary/wage is not high enough to cover expenses. You need 3 full time jobs just to survive in California. $2000 TO $4000 a month is ridiculous. Money greedy landlords.

@@zoobrizz Venice has always been a total garbage can - one that I loved dearly! But I find this video and comments hilarious because it's obvious that none of these people are actually familiar with Venice. It has always been dirty, run down, overrun with homeless people and it was just part of the Venice culture. Homeless dudes in rasta hats and 80 year olds on skateboards. Just another Tuesday. So it looks just a BIT more Venice-y than normal. The only shit that has changed in the past 20 years are the murals.

I grew up on Venice Beach in the 60's. When they still had trams running up and down the main road in front of the beach. My brother and I would take the Tram down to the original POP and we'd walk around watching the Hippies for hours. We were only maybe 5 and 6 yrs old. Back then you could be outside alone wondering around from sun up to sun down and nothing bad would happen to you. We lived on Breeze avenue in a big old house. We were super poor and back then it wasn't rich people who lived on the beach. Venice didn't have all those little shops along the boardwalk back then like it does now. There wasn't a lot. Apts. A little market. And oil wells everywhere. We'd often get in trouble playing in the giant tar vats. It was a fun place to grow up.

Yes, I remember all of that. My dad worked in a factory that made the Bubble ride on POP pier. Loved the electric trams!
