@vickiefinney6073 Bullshit. He could get someone to watch his junk. He could scrape together some money and get a storage unit. Eventually, they will take it anyway. You can't leave a broken down motor home on a city street with your crap piled on the roof forever. If any of his stuff is worth anything, he could sell it. He could get on a shelter waiting list. Find a job, replace his stuff with new stuff. He won't because he wants the government/taxpayers to fix his life. That's easier than doing it himself.

The residents of the Penmar Park Venice community are sick & tired of the RV & Tent encampments. These encampments create filth, crime, indecent exposure, needles, noise, fires, biohazard spills, and vermin (rats & roaches). The park is for our children to play sports , not a permanent campground where mentally ill drug addicts just hang out 24/7. All Venice residents need to inform Councilwoman (CD-11) Traci Park and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass that we DEMAND daily enforcement of NO RVs within 500 Feet of parks, schools and day care centers.
@DerekWill-p1b4 ай бұрын
@DannySlant Vote them out of office. For some reason, California residents keep voting for the democrat politicians that have enabled this. Allowing them to camp anywhere they want, police are not allowed to arrest them for illegal drug use in public. They even give them the needles you find on the streets and in the park. Now, after it's out of control and Governor Newsom wants to further his political career, he wants to eliminate the encampments. At least until after the next election.
@DannySlant4 ай бұрын
@@DerekWill-p1b Newsom makes efforts only within 90 days of the national elections, mostly to just protect his image for future political ambitions. I continue to try to bring awareness to the constituents of California to stop voting for the same one party candidates each time. It makes for disastrous policies which completely destroy our quality of life.

The RV shouldn't be allowed on the road. It's a hazard to everyone else. My daughter lives in LA, and she has to get a smog inspection for her car every year but not a safety inspection like in her home state of PA. That California cares about emissions but allows unsafe hoopties on the public roads is insane. They regulate everything else in your life except for the safety of your car.

His suggestion on having people learn a trade isn't going to work. Offer them jobs, most don't show, or only when they want to, just an hour of completely unorganized people showing up, nothing gets done. Then you need tools of whatever trade. Those are stolen, never returned. If they were all about getting it together, they would be at the offices or centers for help daily, in line. I get that they are disillusioned, but that adds to the problem. He said he was planning on doing laundry, but didn't seem like it was important, because he has unlimited time. Use it to be on every list to harass the programs for help, he doesn't. Go to the shelters now, they still don't work, always an excuse.

He echoed what I said during the lock downs when the democrat LA City Council and the CA Governor suspended the laws allowing the homeless to migrate here to CA in masses, that the blue politicians are doing an old school political stunt where they've created the problems, and then around election time, they are going to clean up their mess... to look like they're the heroes to the public. Newsom was a hero to the homeless population (letting them migrate here from across the country and giving them free cellphones and free cellular plans), and he threw them under the bus after getting massive funds from the federal government plus election cycle is approaching. He recently did a photo op cleaning up a homeless camp... we got garbage in our neighborhood, why doesn't he pick up trash in Venice too?
