Pan searing is optional. We do it lightly on 2 sides. Shred the meat when its done and place the whole pepperoncinis( pepper cheenez if ur from MS) on top and voila

I think the pan searing is optional based on the cut. I’ve done this with bone in neck roasts and it’s definitely not needed.

My mom used to make the same beef roast recipe but in place of the peppers she uses pickles and pickle juice. This is might be on the menu real soon! Looks awesome.

Pickles and pickle juice. I Might have to try that! The kids would eat pickles breakfast, lunch, and dinner if they could.

Glad to see someone else calls it the "Football Roast". Thought I was the only one. Love the football crockpot too. Not sure if it means anything, but I've been eating that type roast since a long time ago, and I'm from Mississippi. So maybe it started here. Who knows? I also do the Football that way and make "Pulled Venison" BBQ sandwiches. Sear the football, Packet of French onion soup, Au Jus, onion quarters, when ready take out, shred, reserve a cup of the liquid and discard the rest. Add meat, liquid and favorite BBQ sauce back into the crockpot and let cook anther 30-45 mins, stirring a couple of times

Pulled venison BBQ sounds delicious! That’s the best part of these roasts. You can do a lot with them the next day. I’m glad I have about 6 of them in the freezer at this very moment.

I’ll be trying this recipe this week. Tenderloin was last week and it’s the best I’ve ever done! I took it to work to share with my fellow nurse friends and they all loved it

@@Akbrwn Thanks for watching! Did you check out the turkey carnitas video?
@geminiridgeoutdoors53543 жыл бұрын
@@Akbrwn the pot roast is amazing. I won’t make it any other way. I’ve had a few people tell me they’ve used pickles instead of the peppers which is interesting and worth a try. I love that I get a few meals out of this one. I take the leftovers and make a shredded Philly cheese sandwich or even use it for loaded nacho platter. It’s so dang easy too!

You almost got it right. Not from Mississippi? Use the bottom round of the deer and add extra half a pack of aus ju and extra half pack of ranch l. Leave pepperonis whole
@geminiridgeoutdoors535411 ай бұрын
I can’t recall if I used whole or chopped peppers for this. I typically always use whole peppers. I definitely add more seasoning for a bigger piece. My bottom rounds are reserved for jerky so I like using this roast, neck roast, or bone in shoulder roast. Thanks for watching!

Don’t mess with perfection. Which is why you should search for more options outside of Robbie. He’s far from perfect. 😃🤷🏻♂️
