Nice snack venkatesh. I tried and it came well. I improvised a little bit by adding tomato, coloured capsicum, potato wedges, ground nut and paneer. It was awesome and out of the world.

During the Cooking of Upma, you have added Lemon to it. Normally, it was told to me that we should not add lemon while cooking which could make the dish bitter. Kindly Suggest in this Case. I will Watch all the Episodes of Cook with Comali, have watched all the Episodes of Season 1, nearly 3 times. I like it. We make this in Bombay with onion tomatoes bread, salt turmeric powder, red chilli powder, green chillies, kothmali ....it's made for breakfast very regularly at home from many years.....nice twist to the recipe shall def try this too... I love bread dhokla as we call this at home

Chef, my mom used to make this bread masala. She use to roast to a crisp consistency and she mixes this to the masala. Sometimes, she adds tomatoes too. I will definitely try your recipe.

Its ok to have fresh bread or 1 day old, as the fresh smell of bread is good...6 chillies for 6 slices is much..3 chillies should do.

My mother used to make this in the'70s and even got a prize from Dinamani Kadhir for it. She used to add some boiled vegetables too and a dollop of butter. It is my family favourite.

My dad used to share your awesome philosophy, anything cooked with love is nectar...he never missed wholesome vegetarian spread at home, which is where he always ate...even after he is gone I relish those fond memories of sitting at 7pm over dinner and having a 4 to 5 course meal ending is simple curd rice with pappadam or poriyal ..

Did today Sir. By mistake we added tomato also. I used to take bread bhujjia with tomatoes mixed. Recalling that, we did. Good taste! Sour chillies could be compensated by tomatoes so that kids could take in a comfort way.
