Is this the same as paal kozhukkatai of Tjr except the ulundhu.we use boondhi jaarini with big wholes for making this.

No...paal kolutattai...is basically u prepare small size kollukattai using rice flour. for that the it shouldn't be too watery..it should be like like rolling tiny balls and it should hold shape..then we add that to the thick cocunt milk with jaggery and cow milk and let it fully get boiled..in simple way to describe is it is a kolutakkai in milk .paal paniyaram is used by making a batter which consits of Urud dhal and rice and the consistency should be somewhat like a dosa batter u can see it in this video well....the taste of that fried paniyaram is so light weight and it absorbs the sweetened coconut milk and it just slides in ur mouth😊 Yes u can use boondhi jaarini my grandma uses it to get even shapes😊💗
