வெங்காயம் மற்றும் பூண்டு ஏன் சாப்பிடக்கூடாது? ராகுவின் காரகம் வெங்காயம் பாற்கடலில் அமிர்தம் கடையும் போது சுவர்ணபானு என்ற அசுரன் அமிர்தம் உண்டதால், விஷ்ணுவால் இரண்டாக வெட்டப்பட்டான். தலையான ராகுவாக மாறியது. அந்த தலையின் வாயிலிருந்து வெளிவந்த எச்சிலே பூண்டு மற்றும் ரத்தமே வெங்காயம் என விஷ்ணு புராணம், சிவ புராணம் கூறுகிறது. ஜோதிடத்தில் பூண்டு மற்றும் வெங்காயம் ராகுவின் காரகத்துவத்தில் வருகிறது. அதனாலே பூண்டு மற்றும் வெங்காயம் யோகி மற்றும் தபஸ்விகளாலும் தவிர்க்கப்படுகிறது. விரதத்திற்கு நோ வெங்காயம் இயற்கை வயாக்கரா என வர்ணிக்கப்படுகிறது. முருங்கைக்காயை விட வெங்காயத்திற்கு அதிகளவில் பாலியல் உணர்வு தூண்டும் சக்தியுள்ளது. அதனால் தான், விஷ்ணு பக்தர்கள் சிவபக்தர்கள் மற்றும் கிருஷ்ண பக்தர்களான வைஷ்ணவர்களும் சாதுக்களும் பிராமணர்களும் விரதம் இருப்பவர்களும், துறவிகளும் உணவில் வெங்காயத்தை சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள் அதற்கு காரணம் அது பாலியல் உணர்வை தூண்டிவிடும் என்பதால் தான். வெங்காயம் மற்றும் பூண்டு சாப்பிடுவது சாப்பிடுவதால் நமக்கு தமோ குணமும் ரஜோ குணமும் வருகிறது இந்த குணங்கள் நமக்கு ஆன்மீக முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு தடையாக உள்ளது. நாம் எப்பொழுதும் சாத்வீக உணர்வில் வாழ வேண்டும். நம் தினசரி உணவில் சாத்வீகமான பழங்கள், காய்கறிகள், தானியங்கள் மற்றும் பால் வகைகளான உணவுகளை நாம் தினசரி உட்கொள்ள வேண்டும். ஆகையால், தயவுசெய்து வெங்காயம் மற்றும் பூண்டை உணவில் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள். ஏனென்றால், மற்றொரு காரணம் கடவுளுக்கும் நமக்கும் இடைவெளி அதிகமாக ஏற்படுத்துகிறது. வெங்காயம் மற்றும் பூண்டு நம்மை கடவுள் உணர்வோடு வாழ விடாமல் நம்மை தடுக்கிறது. நாம் நம் வாழ்க்கையில் ஒழுக்க விதிமுறைகளை கடைப்பிடித்து பகவான் ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ண உணர்வுடன் எப்பொழுதும் சந்தோஷமாக வாழ வேண்டும். மக்களே புரிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்! விழித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள் நண்பர்களே! தயவு செய்து தினமும் ஹரே கிருஷ்ண மகாமந்திரம் ஜெபம் செய்யுங்கள் ஹரே கிருஷ்ண ஹரே கிருஷ்ண கிருஷ்ண கிருஷ்ண ஹரே ஹரே ஹரே ராம ஹரே ராம ராம ராம ஹரே ஹரே! இந்த மந்திரத்தை குறைந்தது இரண்டு மணி நேரம் தினமும் அன்போடு ஜெபியுங்கள். ஜெபித்து உங்கள் இதயத்தை தூய்மைப்படுத்துங்கள். சாத்வீக உணர்வோடு பகவான் ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணருக்கு பூஜை செய்யுங்கள் மற்றும் கிருஷ்ண உணர்வோடு ஆனந்தமாக வாழுங்கள்! தயவுசெய்து, வெங்காயம் பூண்டை தவிருங்கள் பாவச் செயல்களில் இருந்து விலகியிருங்கள்! பணமும் மிச்சமாகும்! மேலும் பல உண்மைகளைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ள படியுங்கள் ஸ்ரீமத் பகவத் கீதை உண்மையுருவில் ஸ்ரீமத் பாகவதம் உண்மையுருவில் இந்தப் புனித நூல்களை படித்து உங்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் பின்பற்றுங்கள் இன்னும் பல உண்மைகளை புரிந்து கொள்வீர்கள். இந்த உண்மைச் செய்தியை எல்லோருக்கும் பகிருங்கள்! நன்றிகள்! ஹரே கிருஷ்ண! அடியேன் பகவான் ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணரின் சேவகன் நந்த கிஷோர் குமார் தாஸ்🔥💧🌷🌻

Chef, urulai roast was excellent, I made it yesterday. Also learnt to make chilli paste. Your recipes are simple and tasty. Most of the ingredients are available at home 👍

OMG, urulai roast that you taught I made it with paneer. Awesome. Initially when I marinate and kept my hubby and my boys were saying it is too spicy. I was little upset. Coz I did how you mentioned. But when I tried it in the oil and gave a toss of lemon juice... OMG...the appreciation that I received made me to blush....thank you. Will follow many recipes from various people and used to try at home. But I never get such a applaud. That might be the filter coffee or the Kasi halwa...chef with your recipes I am a great hit at my family...you are my cuisine Guru.

When I think about food, I remember one name, Venkatesh bhat. Whenever I wish to surprise someone with a recipe, I always look back to your episodes in Hotstar from Samayal Samayal. I wish you all good health and success, we need your guidance for a better kitchen at home. Chef, first of all, let me tell you that I have been following your programmes ever since Samayal Samayal programme, season1. A great fan!! Coming to this Recipe, I tried the Red chilli paste as per your instructions. An useful tip based on my observation - Best result for Red chilli paste achieved if you grind the chillies in Grinder, not in a Mixie. It is worth the effort using the Grinder. So, pls use the Grinder if you have it🙂

When I made it first time, I boiled the potatoes with skin so that de-skinning would be easy, today I removed the peel with peeler and boiled with salt, exactly like you did and the taste in terms of flavor getting to the core of the baby potato was better this timw
