Deivemea ungalai parthu dalmakani senchu i gave to my son. He shocked and 3 days he kept in fridge and took. He didn't allowed me to eat. Best part is for the past 3 years he didn't spoke to me though we were living in same house. But after eating this dish he started talking to me. Tomorrow I going to try cudappa. Thanks deivam

I think green chilly should be added when making the paste. This is an excellent recipe. I am from Kumbakonam ...tasted this many times in hotels. We also used to make at home. Going back to my childhood memories...thsnks for this recipe

Kadapa is famous in Tiruchy also. In Lalgudi, there was a hotel named Mani Iyer hotel. Every Sunday is kadapa special. Morning time we have to wait At least 30 minutes to get seat there.

excellent and one of my fav dish. i used travel all the way from nagapattinam to kumbakonam only to have this in hotels in and around kumbakonam such Venkataramana,, mangalambika, murali cafe and Seetharama vilas. Our kumbakonam famous 100 years old mangalambika hotel very famous for kumbakonam kadappa , people should definitely try this . We always enjoy kadappa right from our childhood even now . Kadappa will be available in a particular day of the week in kumbakonam. May be in Wednesday or Saturday. Kadappa is must try if you come to kumbakonam. Kadappa always bring happiness kumbakonam and thanjavur side people .😀 enjoy.

Just came back from Nagapattinam two days back and I came across this delicious dish served at Hotel Saravana Bhavan near the bus stand (I never go to HSB in my hometown in Kanchipuram because their quality and service is very poor these days). I ate 3 Chappathis (not my favorite) and a huge kal dosa for dinner all because of the wonderful kadapa side dish. They always keep the sambar and kadapa in the 2 stage container kept on the table. I never touched the sambar. I believe their kadapa did not contain the last step shown in the video (adding boiled moong dal) and had small sambar onion cooked to right consistency and tomatoes half cut and a few chopped carrot pieces. It's indeed a heavenly dish. I searched for the recipe and got this link.

Really super sir. 👌 according to your measurements and items correctly I cook like that. I done after watching the keerai kootu, pongal, potato kara fry, adai, rava dosai etc..... I feeled good taste. Always I am eagerly waiting for u receipe sir

Chopped green chillies to be added with garlic n onion while frying. Not any other Garam masala ingredients other than ilai n pattai. This is.kumbakonam kadappa made in households of tanjore dist covering kumbakonam tiruvarur etc.
