Yesterday I made kadappa We belong To mayavaram side.Everybody liked the dish but I added tomato and sambar powder for giving colour.It was a great hit.Ny husband like you said recollected his younger days when his father used to buy kadappa every weekends .Thank you for bringing out this dish for us.

Can’t believe that this is a favourite of people in Kumbakonam and Thanjavur, I thought they were more conservative than that, since the ingredients seem to have more northern items. My mother had gone to Kumbakonam and swore by this dish. Will definitely be making it when I make idli , dosa and chapattis
