venom didnt exactly win against riot on his own and once riot became one with venom he basically won but they used sound to seperate them so it would be a close match up but tbh riot would try to talk his way out and I think carnage has a better bond with cassidy since carnage is legit in his blood

I like how different Riot and Venom look. Venom's got the Spider-Man eyes and the giant fanged mouth of course, but he's still basically shaped like a human, with a round head. Meanwhile Riot almost has a snout, it's very reptilian and crocodile-like. There's nothing human in his appearance

I'll be honest, I was pissed when the symbiote I saw Venom fought wasn't Carnage. He is one of my favorite villains since Middle School I think. Glad they did him right in the sequel. But Riot is underrated, he is an obscure symbiote in the comics.

In comics, Riot and the other Life Foundation Symbiotes were offspring of Venom The Life Foundation captured Venom and forced him to birth more Symbiotes creating Riot, Phage, Lasher, Agony, and Scream In the comics a Symbiote offspring inherit the abilities of the parent and previous host Its why Carnage was stronger than Spider-Man and Venom put together Riot and the others would have comparable strength to Carnage at birth The movies are of course different, that Riot and Venom and the other Life Foundation Symbiotes were all extraterrestrial in origin and apparently not related to eachother Still Riot being stronger than Venom still ties to the comic version and is an interesting reference to it

You know what Sony should have done. Continue with the amazing spider man movies. Say in 3, he fights the sinister six but can't beat them so gets the black suit, but after seeing how violent he got removes the symptom and say after end credits, Venom finds Eddie. Then you get venom. And then we could have got the amazing Spiderman 4 maximum carnage!
