Venom extractors...do they work?!

Snakes, snake bites, snakebite cures, almost everything related to snakes have more myths rampant than facts. Here is one video that surfaced about a 'venom extractor'.

if someone is out in the countryside, 25 kilometers away from the nearest hospital down a dirt road, what's the issue with using the extractor while you're just doint NOTHING in the car? The point isn't about not going to the hospital because of the vacuum, but using it while you're on the way there.

I was under the impression certain location in the body with less circulation can indeed hold the venom as it slowly dissipates into the surrounding fatty tissue. These locations could benefit from sucking out any portion of venom that is still in that portion of the body. On a second note these extractors have another great first aid use. Lancing and sucking out areas of infections where puss pockets have formed.

Of course there are no hospitals around the corner near the forest so best thing will be not to get bitten, in case you think you will get bitten then don't go to the forest. And the people who go into the forest are either researchers or tribes. Both I am sure know what to do....they will definitely not use these extractors. This video is for people living in the fringes of forest where they do have hospitals.

Yes you are right bro I also saved myself from the bite of a Russell Viper by using first aid with a vacuum.but Some people are not able to understand all these things to make themselves look more professional.

where you going to find hospital if you in amazons ...?...actual by my experience this device will work if glass section will be wider...after venom injected you'll cut point of bite by animal then you can use this device suck poisoned blood out...but device glass section has to be wider...idea is very good but has to be improved ..
