The King was so gentle and quiet. I've normally seen Cobras get all kinds of agitated when on rescues

What an excellent job, accomplished with so much of patience. What you did reflects on our culture, the culture of Sanatana Dharma, what some might call the basic tenet of Hinduism: Do no harm: ahimsa paramo dharmaha. This cobra, too, is entitled to live out its life in accordance with its dharma. Had this wandering cobra entered a car at a house in Texas, California, or Montana, in the USA, the car owner would simply have picked up his shot gun and shot the cobra, and gone to a beer shop to buy a barrel of cold beer, and invited his neighbors for a cobra-barbeque party to celebrate the event. If this wandering cobra had arrived at a garden in China or Thailand, the home owner would have put the bag with the cobra in it in boiling water and then cooked and served it with mint and basil or tomato sauce. I am not making this up; you can see in KZbin videos of chefs cooking a cobra by first putting it in boiling water, bag and all, and then serving it in fancy restaurants for $59.95 a plate. Thank you very much for what you did. Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania

Do we have anti venom if it strikes, how long a person survive if it bites
@vadisonnyАй бұрын
no anti-venom for Indian King Cobra. The huge amount of venom injected by the snake makes any anti-venom redundant. Also, the snake rarely strikes and just wants to avoid humans. So an anti-venom that needs to be kept for really long time for it to be used will make it either a waste OR very expensive. So all in all, no anti-venom for Indian King cobra bite.
