In the comics Carnage and Cletus Kasady were so compatible that they referred to themselves in the singular (I and Me) instead of the plural (Us and We) like Eddy and Venom.

Also both the symbiote AND Cletus are utterly insane. Because of this Carnage is more violent and uncaring, while Venom has Eddie's conscious and its own emotions. Personally I don't think "more powerful" is the 100% accurate term, but Carnage is deadlier, more vicious, and infinitely more Violent. But Venom can't really be counted out as just being inferior, either. It's one of those cases where either one can be victorious depending on circumstances.

@@ThreadBomb It says Goya never gave his Black Paintings title, and it was his friend Antonio Brugada the one that gave names to these 14 paintaings, however this painting is known as "Saturn Devouring His Son", so I don't see the point of your comment. I was in Museo del Prado in Madrid, that was quite a few years from now and I could take a look at all of these paintings as closely as you are allowed in that museum, and I'm almost certain they put "His Sons" in plural although you see only one in the painting. The difference between Venom and Carnage is Venom is externally bonded to Eddie. Carnage is bonded at the cellular level to Cletus Kassidy he is literally in Cletus's bloodstream that is why in the comic books he is black and red is literally a mixture of the black suit and his blood from his body. He's also stronger than Venom as the spawns are always stronger than the spawner. In the comic books it takes both Spider-Man and Venom to beat Carnage. In the comic books Carnage escapes from Ravencroft and slaughters all 22 of the personnel in the building as a celebration of breaking his bondage.

Venom and Eddie in the comic are (highly insinuated) are romantically in love. There have been times when Venom has made Eddie "feel good and pleasurable." Venom knows everything Eddie thinks and feels. So, really, some intelligent being that knows you intimately while also sharing the same mind would also feel some type of way about you as well. In the comic book Eddie was in prison with Kletus and when the symbiote broke him out of jail it infected Kletus with the symbiotes offspring. Eddie had to team up with Spiderman to beat Carnage. In the comic the symbiote copied Spiderman's powers and gave it to Eddie. Eddie is an Olympic level (armature) body builder ( his job was a reporter, but he worked out like crazy to make himself stronger) so when you added his strength to Spidermans copied strength he was stronger than spiderman. The Carnage symbiote had Spidermans strength plus eddies strength, plus some other Kletus Insanity thing where he made weapons out of blood.

One of my favorite things about the the theme of this movie is that it explores one of the most subtle but important differences between Venom and Carnage. Their use of personal pronouns in speech. Venom has always used the first person plural, Carnage the first person singular. WE are Venom, I am Carnage. Carnage is more dangerous than Venom becuase Venom is always of two minds, Eddie and the symbiote can disagree, they can argue, they are two separate entities occupying a body. Carnage is of one mind. Cletus and his symbiote fused so perfectly that there no THEY to them, only HIM.

Shriek is actually a Mutant in the comics, kind of hinted at whenever they referred to her powers as a Mutation. The film released AFTER Marvel acquired 21st Century Fox in 2019 reverting the rights of The X-Men and Fantastic Four back to Marvel. So I like to think that Marvel were fine with Sony using a Mutant character and the term Mutation as Shriek is important to the overall story. This was something Marvel themselves struggled with as under the Fox/Marvel agreement Marvel could not use the term Mutant or Mutation, along with using X-Men characters. So just a fun little Mutant connection in a Marvel film not overseen by Fox and created by Sony.

Where he went from being this dude obsessed with Spiderman to being this super edgy anti-hero saying some of the most violent, off the wall things while being this huge goofball. Seriously, Lethal Protector era Venom was so much fun, and Im glad we kind of got that version in these movies, you could tell the people working on this drew a lot from that particular time, there were some obscure references. And yes this one does tie it into the larger mcu, but it's kind of a good thing they never got directly involved, but I won't spoil that any further with retrospectives. These movies technically aren't a part of the MCU - you'll notice when these Sony movies start, they say "In association with MARVEL," instead of just saying "MARVEL." Sony owns the rights to the various Spider-Man *side* characters, and they own the rights to the *animated* Spider-Man character, but Marvel/Disney has the rights to the *live-action* Spider-Man character, and they're not allowing Sony to use Spider-Man in these movies, so Sony can only make vague references to him. I doubt you'll ever see Spider-Man show up in any of the Sony movies, especially after so many of the movies have been mediocre at best. He'll only show up in these movies if Marvel and Sony make a deal to share the character, or until the rights revert back to Sony. For now, Marvel has the rights, and they're allowed to use the character for either a certain number of years, or for a certain number of movies, and then the rights will eventually revert back to Sony (and *then* Sony can put him in their movies) - but nobody knows when that will happen, and it seems pretty clear that Marvel plans to use the character for quite a long time, based on how they've done things so far. I think Sony was planning on eventually working with Marvel and bringing all the Spider-Man characters together, but I would assume that Marvel probably doesn't want to do that anymore - though nobody knows what was really included in the Sony/Marvel contract, so maybe it's already a done deal that the characters will be coming together at some point. I mainly say this just to clarify that these Sony movies technically are NOT Marvel movies, and you shouldn't blame Marvel for any of the crap that Sony has released in recent years. Marvel has absolutely nothing to do with Madame Web, Morbius, etc. It just gets confusing because the characters were originally created by Marvel, but Marvel doesn't currently own the rights to them. And Sony only temporarily gave Marvel the rights to the live-action Spider-Man character (and some of the other side characters that have appeared in the MCU Spider-Man movies).

I'm so glad somebody said this. This is not the MCU. I don't know why she needed to watch the Venom movies & now Blade. I have not seen these movies, nor do I plan to, and I missed nothing in No Way Home. I hope Ashleigh goes back to the actual MCU soon.

I told you he was a problem. So the story here is that, in the comic books, Venom was introduced to be the new number one Spider-Man villain. But comic book fans immediately fell in love with him and started rooting for him (it was the 90's, cheering for psychotic killers was just what people did), so Marvel turned him into an anti-hero to try and capitalize on his popularity. But that left them without their huge new villain they were counting on. So they created Carnage, an even MORE evil version of Venom, bonded with a serial killer, who no one could ever possibly cheer for. So of course a bunch of people cheered for him anyway, even when he basically tried to take over the world. Spider-Man and Venom had to team up to take him down. Him and his weird crew of henchmen. Like Doppelganger, who is Spider-Man with six arms, and evil.

I've been a lifelong Venom fan, and I like this movie. My two main notes: 1) it should have been about 20 minutes longer, just to flesh out the characters and their arcs more. 2) I would have maybe made this movie 2% less cute, just because they really leaned into the cute aspects from the last movie. Not bad, just could have been a little darker to balance it out I think.

In the comics, after the Symbiote bonds with Eddie and they form what would become Venom, he starts referring to himself as "we" showing that Venom is actually two consciences sharing a body. Carnage does start by using the "we" pronoun at first, but very quickly drops it in favor of using "I." I believe it's because the two can no longer differentiate which if them is killing whomever is there in front of them AND neither one really seems to care.

You kinda accidentally watches this out of order. The end credits scene takes place at the end of SpiderMan Far From Home when Venom sees Peter on the TV. Him crossing into the other universe is the result of the end of Loki when after Sylvie killed He Who Remains the timeline started branching

Carnage in the comics was created as basically an even worse version of Venom. Venom himself started as a straight-up villain, but will periodically switch to hero. Not so much with Carnage, who is irredeemable. Not only that, but in the comics, Cletus and the symbiote are fully in synch with each other. One noticeable way is that while Venom refers to himself as "we", Carnage refers to himself as "I"--there is no separation in Cletus or the symbiote's mind between the two entities. It's to the extent that, when separated from the symbiote, Cletus still thinks of himself as Carnage, As with every video of yours, I recommend the movie Imagine Me & You, as well as Zsazsa Zaturnnah.

For the lethal injection yes that's how it works. There are typically 3 different anesthetics used. The first one puts the inmate to sleep, the second one stops the lungs, and the third one stops the heart. If done properly the entire process takes 5 minutes death is 2 minutes after the final injection but if done wrong it can take hours. As for the red symbiote being stronger it's because in the comics Carnage fused with Cletus's blood so he can turn his entire body into a liquid form immune to all damage except fire and sound.

You definitely have a TON to watch (I mean, I'd skip Blade Trinity, but that's just me)... But I hope someday soon you'll give Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and, at least, the first season of Agent Carter a watch. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was created by the same guy that made Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but it's his brother and sister-in-law who wrote and ran the show.
