Never had snake bite me on nose, but in '62 @12 yrs old, had Massasauga Rattler taste test my nose couple times w/his fork-ed tounge! I was pickin' up missed skeet for .22 rat shot event in Boy Scouts, when found shtload around big outflowing bush w/raised dirt in middle. Had L. forearm full of skeets when heard terrible loud buzzing, and made out swaying form on dirt mound right under & ahead of my face. It was Mr. Snake rattling away w/mouth too close to focus on. When stopped rattling, he taste tested end of nose, then stayed there swayin' forever! I w/d ever so slowly, Scoutmaster summoned, he counted 16 rattles, so had probably seen hundreds of Scouts, but never one as dumb as this one, so let me go....thank you Mr. Snake! Had already had closer encounter when 10 at Miami Serpentarium when Mr. Bill Haast's world record 20'+ long Black Momba tail whipped Asst & broke away! Crowd scattered, Haast raked down L. arm by snake, so it was free to navigate. I was littlest guy there, cut off from escape by crowd and Croc pit, so grabbed garden rake just as Momba struck hitting it just back of head whiplashin' it back. Dumb as said above, so pinned snake w/rake. Snake stunned, but if ya jump on the rake, that's a snake's ON Button! Haast & Lady Asst glad Momba caught, Bill grabbin' by head, Asst grabbed middle, & I carried the safe third back to Venom Milking stand. Crowd coaxed back, so Mom & Dad lookin' for me. Haast yelled to 'em, "Is your's our Red Headed Buddy helpin' us wrangle the snake?". Mom gave him a dirty look, glanced at snake, did a triple take, then fainted! How embarrassing, but she had fully recovered when it came to shopping Serpentarium Gift Shop! We didn't have no money, but she had a basket anyway. Haast came out of back w/arm all Methyolated up from strike, saw us & rushed over. Mom's basket about 2/3 full after he heaped bunch of stuff her way. Every 5th Grader had souvenir from Miami Serpentarium, & when Dad passed in '07, I was sortin' out his sht for keepers & throw-outs when hit red garden rake w/note rolled up on handle. I Unrolled it, & it was addressed to me! It read, "Back in '60 when short of cash, but recovered, I asked Mr. Haast down in Miami how much we owed him for all those souvenirs. Instead of writing, he phoned me and told what you had done. So enjoy your rake, but be more careful with what you choose to do. Thanks for defending us by the way" I was 57 when got the message!!!

When I saw Chandler was going to Thailand and meeting up with Chris Sweet I commented in the last several videos released by DAVIDSFEED if he'll also be meeting up with Chandler and here they are! That’s so cool! I actually had a snake question - I know from watching ViperKeeper that even venomous snakes each have their own unique dispositions. But there was a Python or Boa - can’t remember which - that lived at a local pet store for about 30 years. He was kind of famous locally. And one time my father was there and one of the caretakers at the shop went in to check on him and he reared up and chased him out of the room? Do you know why that might have happened, and.is that a worry with your snake, or snakes like yours?

Him, Brian Barczyk, and Tyler Nolan motivated me to get a pet snake and been loving them ever since I was in middle school. Thank goodness it was a Mangrove! Just imagine if it was a boomslang that bit you! 😳 I can’t believe that boomslangs and Mangrove snakes are in the same family as rat snakes and corn snakes! Mangrove snakes are also a food source for the king cobra!

I have a mild case of ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) so I watch these videos to desensitize myself to serpentes. To me how fearless Chandler is with reptiles seems simply unbelievable! He genuinely loves these animals. Hope he lives a long live protected from the deadly bite.

Honest to God, when I saw the Jpeg and the title of this I thought, man I think Chandler has been getting a little careless the longer he does this, and then I thought he should really check out DavidsFeed because David has such a way with these reptiles. He just handles them unlike anyone I've seen and his "vibe", or really his energy is so calm and positive that even the most defensive snakes seem to calm down rather quickly with him. And when they don't David knows when to leave it alone and let it go on it's way. I thought maybe Chandler could pick up on that a little, just to avoid catastrophic situations. And then 30 seconds later I see David in the background. That was pretty cool. Now if Chandler would just quit getting bitten by dangerous animals!!

Man I gotta hand it to you, without a doubt you are one brave dude. After getting bitten by a copperhead I learned to respect snake's, that bite was bad but not near as bad as the 4 bites from a single Black widow spider, same symptoms as a Heart attack at first then tummy pain, severe muscle spasms and a fever over 105! Widow venom is 15 times more potent than a Diamondback rattlesnakes venom.
