My mom told me, once, to lift up my shirt (note I was staying at my sister's house for the summer cause she's in collage) and so I did, my mom stared at me for a few seconds and said, "your getting bigger" never have I ever cried that hard in my life because of my mom, and sense I was at my sister's house my mom hardly saw me for the summer but yet the one day we decided to go home for a day my mom had called me fat. My own mother is the reason I'm so insecure about my body.

Here’s my story on how I’ve gotten insecure with my body. It first started when my mother would take away all my dresses and skirts because I didn’t know how to properly sit in them, mind you she never taught me how to all she would say is “don’t sit like that!” And constantly yell at me for it. Now I was about 6-8 then so as a child i didn’t know how to because as you grow up, you learn. I would beg her not to throw them away because I loved wearing dresses and skirts but she refused and threw them all away in front of me. As the years went on i started to grow out of my really skinny body which means I got bigger thighs and a little more gut into the stomach, and I would see all these people wearing skirts and dresses and I questioned if I’d still look good in any of them because I haven’t worn them for years. Recently I finally got dresses and a skirt from my cousin who didn’t want them anymore and I was wearing this red skirt around my house and my mother calls me to her bedroom to give me this weird looking shirt to go under my skirt. She was saying something about tights and I slightly refused because I did start to grow a insecure about my body especially my legs and how they looked, and I wanted to grow out of my insecurities by showing my legs because that was sort of a way to help finally get out my insecurity for my legs. Well my mother didn’t like me refusing and she would purposely sexualize my skirt by saying “Well men are just gonna look at you!” “The boys at your school could just come up to you and pull up your skirt!” And purposely pulled up my skirt. I didn’t have shorts under because I had just put on the skirt and went to go do something down stairs real quick until my mom called me. I called her out for it and told her that made me uncomfortable, and she said “well boys are going to do that because they’re gross” as if she knew everything or what she thought was gonna happen would actually happen. I cried a lot in my room and I felt so insecure with myself and felt that if I did wear the skirts would people use me for my body? Even since I have been quite insecure but I’m starting to finally wear more dresses/skirts to get over that.

Today he actually asked me to connect my fitness watch on his phone so that he could tell me when to walk, sleep stand etc. Obviously I will refuse like I want some privacy too. And not only that he has become so much health conscience that I don't know who is now. He was earlier cool, eat what we want to but not too much, never forced to wake up and go on a walk and now he has become really... Strict and whenever I don't reach my step goal which 10000 he would scold me by saying "stop being so lazy" or "walk faster" or "do your meditation". I’m gonna get attacked for this 100% but atleast SOMEONE had to say this, y’all gotta stop doing something called trauma dumping. Before you reply please read the whole thing. I feel happy that you guys are opening up and it’s nice that this is a calm and peaceful vent area, but are you forgetting that the creator also needs comfort? If your confused on what trauma dumping is, basically dumping your vent on another persons vent when they ask for comfort. Example: “Yeah this happened today.. (explains)” “Same, my dad/mom/guardian and said this and then (whole ass story)” In really bad cases, people *completely* overshadow the fact that the creator needs comforting too. It is a super ass move to trauma dump, and I just feel so bad for the creator rn because I barely see anyone in this comment section trying to comfort the creator. Fra life, I am sorry this happened, you are so strong for being able to deal with all this at once, I hope things get better for you.

But my mother says that if I would have done dance it was better, and when she sees some dancers on the internet she tells me "look, if you did dance you could do it too", but she doesn't want to understand that I don't like dancing and I prefer to dance.

Dang, tbh this is sadly relatable, I wouldn’t say my parents are bad, my mom would encourage me my dad too kinda but they always have to add something like “but it’s still not enough” or something like “well if you tried harder then….” It hurts like it kinda just makes me want them to not compliment me rather then complimenting and then shoot me down again, it feels more awful. One other annoying thing is that if they see that you haven’t slim down much, they would tell ate you for eating so much and fat shame you and also just yell at you and say how much progress you made before like what? You were the one saying I didn’t slim down much?-

Then a minute later we had to go out . I possibly couldn't get changed into "regular" things , So I just quickly put a coat on. Ran to catch up, We had to go somewhere which isn't very cold- (It's quite warm) They kept on asking me , "Do you want to take your coat off , honey?" , "Aren't you hot in that?", And I just replied with "No , I'm fine" I had an urge to say how I felt , but it was best to keep to myself.
