Furthermore when in the winter the temperature is -30 having to heat that freezing cold combustion temperature is even harder. Temperature rise also makes a huge difference in heating water. Trying to heat water from 40f to 140f is a 100f degree rise. That makes ot work very hard

This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. kzbin.infoUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

I only subscribed because this guy gave the best and most informative breakdown on these vent systems. I might buy a couple extra vents just for back up. Thanks.

I have a 90% furnace that uses pvc venting. If I have the pvc vented tankless water heater also can I connect the exhaust together so I still only have 1 wall penetration for exhaust out? Thanks.
@vossman5Ай бұрын
I wouldn't recommend it, maybe with a sanitee long sweep, right before it goes outside so there is less chance of the exhaust getting pushed back in through the furnace, also you would probably need to up-size the pvc to handle both if they run at the same time. It would be easier to just run a new exhaust

How can i use the existing vent and draw fresh air from inside? For non condensing unit?

The old water heaters needed to be vented through the roof, but for at least 30 years they have had power vent ones that could be vented out a wall
@mrblackmoe1 Жыл бұрын
How long can you run a non condensing vent horizontally? The water heater is about 12’ from the side wall where we’d like to vent the heater.

I need some information… I live in a mobile home where my hot water take sits within inches of my electrical panel I’m having difficulty finding out a mobile home system that works with propane . We loose power a lot and we have a generator I feel like I need to move it away from the electrical. I think to hire an electrician to move my panel will be very expensive compared to upgrading to hot water tankless system. Suggestions would be so helpful. I’m a single mom and don’t want to make a expensive mistake I’ll regret
