I’ve dealt with anxiety & episodes of depression most of my life & unfortunately it affects me mentally and physically & I’ve been getting better & better through prayer & going to church. This “new” KZbin has totally turned me off. I miss the 2011-2014 KZbin. I started uploading a couple of years ago and was putting out decent content and it just wasn’t growing. I love this video so much! Its refreshing to see a larger channel to feel that way about the smaller organic, true-to-self channels. I remember when you were going thru it with your hair Kendra and people were being so mean comparing you to Kelsey and it was like wow they are sisters catch her a break! She took so long to grow her hair I’m sure it’s very hurtful to talk about. By the way! I was listening to Kendra get personal about what she was going thru and I really felt that. It made me feel like I was letting my friend vent. And yessss click bait is so annoying! I love my subscribers but I’m like damn I put so much effort into my videos and into being true to myself and my passion and it’s so hard to get bigger sometimes. I see some big youtubers and I wonder why they are so big. Not to knock anyone’s blessing but it is frustrating not understanding the dynamics! And yesssss to the fake youtubers! I started my channel around the same time someone who is now a huge KZbinr and we used to follow each other and comment on each other’s videos and as soon as she got big she unsubscribed and it’s like wow! You really see people’s true colors. I’ve heard stories of people who act one way on camera then in person are very snobby and competitive in a nasty way. Like hello! It’s KZbin EVERYONE can be successful, everyone can eat, there’s no competition. Sally can watch your video then watch mine after, no one is taking away from anyone else. It’s not nice to knock other youtubers to put themselves on a pedestal and it’s sad when it happens.

I honestly feel the exact same way and I just posted a video today addressing the same thing. I only have 22,000 subscribers but I feel confident in the fact that they were authentically gained. Some people say im boring or I need fancy editing but im just trying to show who i really am and if I ever get bigger I will still be the same person. I think there is a balance that has to be maintained. I agree that you should stay true to yourself and be authentic, but also challenge yourself, get outside your comfort zone, embrace vulnerability. We as humans are afraid of change and at times it shows in your content over the several years that you guys have been on KZbin that it's very difficult for ya'll to perceive doing something different. In the Bible Paul says I am content yet abased meaning he is comfortable with himself but still so desperately hungry to improve and to upgrade. I also think it's the blind side of being a twin because you guys can easily validate one another which is hard to get out of. Anyways this year I think you two have made great leaps and bounds in trying to show different dimensions of your content which us OG subscribers appreciate.

I remember when Kendra was going through it and people kept going in about her hair. I’d made a comment about how demeaning it is to treat someone like they’re only a head of hair and not human, and people literally jumped on me for defending her. I’ve never completely agreed with the twins but I’ve always gone out of my way to still acknowledge that they are human and deserve to be treated as such. I kind of sensed there was more going on with Kendra and it just surprised me that other people couldn’t or didn’t want to see it too. Either way, I’m happy things are looking up for you girlie. I’ve been where you two have been. Family dying left and right, dad struggling with cancer, myself dealing with crippling pain from endo, on top of being a full time student working jobs, holding my own doing internships and organizations, playing in orchestra full time, and trying to manage depression. Sometimes life just sucks but it’s our faith that keeps us going. I’m happy to see y’all pulled through!

Thank you for sharing. People don't understand depression and anxiety. You don't want to talk about it because you feel like no one will get it. I get it lady's TRUST ME, I do. It was very brave of both of you for being so transparent with us. KZbin to me (and I don't even post but this relates to 9-5 person to person jobs) is like a 24 hr demanding customer service job to be honest. My job where I work is very high volume and demanding. You can't even eat with out someone TELLING (because they're not asking you), where is so and so and such. You need a break to regain your strength! Thank you for sharing your journey especially the mental health struggles which a lot of people go through. When I was struggling with anxiety after my divorce what really helped me was prayer and seeing a therapist. So while prayer is good, God made therapists for a reason so that may be something to consider. Keep up the good work ladies and love your videos!!!
