Sir... Very thankful to you.... My son is 8 years old.. having VSD 2.4mm.His height and weight are very good..Don't have any other problems.. Should he be operated. If operated please tell me the success rate.....
@DrSaykat
@DrSaykat 7 жыл бұрын
dominic kumar, That's a small VSD, which has a probability of spontaneous closure. But as your son is 8 yrs old, pls consult with a Paediatric Cardiologist, repeat the investigations and do whatever the doctor says. One more important thing is, don't be afraid of surgery for congenital heart diseases. The success rate now-a-days is about 99%

may this medical condition create problem to baby or mother during delivery of baby?
@DrSaykat
@DrSaykat 7 жыл бұрын
AMIT M.S UNI, No need to worry. In fetal life, holes may exist, but usually they close on their own. VSDs can be small or large. Small VSDs don't cause problems and often may close on their own. So wait and pray to Almighty. After delivery keep in touch with a paediatric cardiologist.

During delivery, this condition does not create any problem to baby or mother. And about diet issue: Yeah, that's not false. Protein rich food or healthy diet plan might help closing the VSD. So don't loose hope. But always keep in touch with pediatric cardiologist after delivery and do whatever the doctor says. Remember, the treatment of congenital heart diseases available now-a-days is outstanding. So, nothing to worry about.
