Yeah it make sense after 21 lost 24 and went through his lone wolf phase he started to click with Monarch and the two bond similar to how he and 24 did. Heck in Season 7 episode where they were mentors to St. Cloud they even made refferences to popular media and Monarch in that season called him his Number 2 rather then his henchman

I really wanted an an arc where Malcolm struggles with being Blue Morpho because it gives him an infamy and respect he never had as Monarch. It would put him in conflict with his wife, and the stress of divided loyalties and maintaining a secret identity would have been awesome.

While I like Rick and Morty, I personally feel it’s a bit confused on what it wants to be (the characters even imply that in later episodes) and can be a bit off with pacing. I agree that Venture Bros is the superior show, if only because it does superhero parody well, rather than Justin Roiland using Rick as his mouth piece to shout “Superheroes suck lol!” for an episode. I honestly think Rick and Morty is at its best when it drops most of its parody and sticks to original ideas. I mean what do you remember more, that one episode where they were on a mad max world, or the Citadel of Ricks and the Evil Morty arc, or the tragic ending of Rick’s relationship with Unity?

I think they are right where they are meant ot be, working for Rusty. With Billy's help, ethics/moral fiber (which Rusty lacks, though has shown some skill in chemistry, as well as competently resurrecting the dead as clones or zombies) and a grounded scientific approach, they did invent a teleporter. Let's hope the movie shows us their greatest invention yet

Why do I feel like that's an unfollowed investigative clue, or worth a pretty penny because Blue Morpho is/was an investigator and (perhaps) an avid coin collector, and actually found 3 double sided buffalo head misprint nickels (one of the more expensive coins you can hope to find), meaning for all that The Monarch is broke now, he's walking around with a small fortune in that pocket! Edit: 3 nickels just randomly left in a pocket is weird, too me. 3 nickels? Not just a handful of pocket change, maybe 18 cents? It's just a kinda weird number. Somebody broke his change and didn't hand him a dime and a nickel?
