I've been diving with this vest for a year and 150+ dives now under my drysuit here in British Columbia Canada and it has been a game changer. 100min dives in 7°c water are still chilly even on high but with out it they were not possible. One note to look out for is the button on the controller. It has a threaded collar that holds the button into the body of the remote. Keep an eye on this and keep it tight. They can back off over time. Also for extra maintenance it's nice to know that you can remove the button and spring to get sand or other stuff out of the button area with out compromising the waterproof integrity of the remote. Happy diving

James, I was suppose to be down to do some diving back on January 15 & 16 but ended up not being able to travel. My brother was down and I was asking him if you was on the boat to which he confirmed and said you had a "heater" on that you was controlling by a wrist remote. Now I know what he was talking about.... Keep up the great content! Thanks so much...

Impressed by the review, was looking to order one. Venture heat website shows no stock of the Large. When I asked when they would have more I was told early fall! You'd have thought they wouldn't bother sending stuff out for review if they don't have any stock to sell off the back of it. Shame really.

It is really easy. It should only take one day to get. Recovery from inversion is so easy and inflation and buoyancy should be tested only in actual salt water. Do only a little at a time.

@hrhansendotdk3 жыл бұрын
I think this is only a half solution for Scandinavia. Either you go all in on the (expensive) Santi system with external battery or you choose a ghetto solution: I bought a $20 USB-powered heated vest on Ebay. With a 6000mAH power bank, I get almost 2 hours on full power. It doesn't heat much, but for me it makes the difference between bearable and unbearable on a ~50 min. dive in 2ºC (36ºF) water here in Denmark. USB is only 5 Volts, so it's unlikely to grill you in case of failure.

Be careful using this vest. I’ve had mine not long and it’s has worked great but the batteries have failed only after a handful of dives. the wire coming out of the top of both the batteries have slip and are no longer waterproof. The vest is great and I’m looking at other options to power it as I don’t trust their batteries to be safe to use while diving. Just saying if you have a vest inspect your gear closely.

I have used my VentureHeat "Heated Surfing / Diving Undersuit" for a couple years now & until one of the batteries stopped taking a charge, I loved it. Now that the 1 year warranty is over, I need to replace a battery. I thought I could take advantage of their Labor Day sale. The email I received from Venture Heat specifically says "LABOR DAY SALE 20% OFF SITEWIDE". Nowhere in the email or website does it mention that batteries and accessories are excluded. After I could not get the discount to apply (and yes, I clicked on the discount link & found the battery listed on the site.), I called their customer service & was basically told, "Sorry, you are out of luck. Batteries are not included." I'm disappointed in the incredibly poor customer service.
