Join us as we continue our return journey east. We visit the city of Kodiak and tour a unique and fascinating packing facility on the southern end of the island.

THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL AND AMAZING TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY I HAVE EVER SEEN!. THANK YOU. - I watch all your Venture Boats trips (Aleutians, Alaska, British Columbia, Europe, Ireland, England, California, Idaho, New York). All videos are properly edited and perfectly presented. All landscapes, scenes, nature, blue sky, grey sky, deep blue sea make me feel so good. I enjoy watching all your videos (on my 72" flat screen TV - SONY) all time, every weekend from my home in Los Angeles. Even though I am not fortunate like you to circumnavigate the globe and travel on own boat, your sea journey and wonderful voyage videos have brought many delights and good feeling to me. We all ordinary people are grateful to you (Gratitude) for your generous and wonderful presentations. Thank you.

Your films are just fabulous. The cinematography is simply brilliant. And that voice, so familiar. Perfection as a narrator.

The Exxon Valdez oil spill occurred in Prince William Sound, Alaska, on Good Friday, March 24, 1989, not 2012 as stated in the video. I do love your videos. Some I have watched a couple of times and will watch them all again. Thank you! :)

beautiful video but Sand Point and Kodiak are not really considered to be in he Aleutians are they ? Castle Cape near Chignik is really on the Alaska peninsula no?
@FlemingYachts5 жыл бұрын
You are of course absolutely correct. Sand Point and Kodiak are certainly not even close to the Aleutians and Castle Cape is on the Alaska Peninsula. The Aleutians do not really start until Unimak Island west of False Pass. Our trip took us to Dutch Hsrbor on Unalaska Island. The confusion seems to have arisen because I broke our trip down into different 15 minute chapters. At the time video length was restricted. The full video runs for 1 hour. Maybe I should upload it.

Where do you refuel and how often? Do you have twin Yanmar diesel engines?
@FlemingYachts5 жыл бұрын
We have a pair of MAN 800hp engines. We have a range of approximately 1500 nm at 9 knots. More if we go slower.

WOW! What a trip! I am a very experienced backpacker of the Rockies and they are really great BUT noting like this. You WOULD really be affected if you went land side and camped out for a few days in this REAL WILDERNESS. Where you ACTUALLY experienced it directly the instead of just looking at it from afar. Which was truly great BUT not as great as LIVING RIGHT ON IT. SMELLING IT. FEELING IT. RIGHT UNDER YOUR FEET. LOOKING at it is not as great as LIVING RIGHT IN IT.

Alaska was originally owned by Russia then they sold it to America ..
@FlemingYachts6 жыл бұрын
Actually it was originally home to the Aleuts and other indigenous peoples. It was commandeered by the Russians who sold it to the US on March 30th 1867 for a paltry $7.2 million in a deal dubbed at the time as Seward's folly!
