You were so close... about an hour north of the Soo, along the shore of Lake Superior, there are spectacular beaches and trails, and out of the way spots to see. The ice on the shore of Lake Superior is spectacular along there. Fantastic in the Summer too, great swimming spots. You'll have to visit again...

I am glad that you took in the Bush Plane Museum. If you visit our area again in the future, I would suggest you take in Hiawatha Highlands in Sault Ste. Marie and Stokley Creek in Goulais River. Then, if you venture up our Highway 17 North, you can visit great places like Batchawana, Pancake, and Sand River, Speckled Trout Creek and Old Woman Bay.

Wow! Another great video Chris. No fancy music, no drone, no special effects. Just a smooth relaxing but very engaging production. Was glad to see you in my country and close to my home. Thanks for showing me and other Canuck parts of our own countryside that we often take for granted and put aside to go visit other more exotic places instead. It makes us think about taking time to explore our own backcountry and communities. By the way, Sault-Ste-Marie is a french name and you were technically pronouncing it right all along (in french). Although the English population changed it to Soo. It should be pronounced ("Sow") Sault Sainte-Marie. Thanks again for the great shots and stories. It is the adversities in traveling that make it an adventure.

That water fill station was something I've never seen before. Considering the climate, that metal box had to be insulated and heated to keep the water flowing at sub-freezing temps. Nice. The scene where you had your feet close to the fire reminded me of the time I burnt a hole in the bottom of my boots doing the same thing. Awesome job clearing the road with the winch!

Snow does wonderous things , it seems to lift your spirits. If your prepared it can be great fun, some of my most memorable camping adventures have had snow involved in them. Just take extra caution and keep an eye on your forecast. Freezing rain is not your friend. The winching job was excellent, nicely done.
