Sir it seems you have connected your blower to the port usually used for suction. And use the normal blower port for suction. You will likely find a rediculous improvement in efficiency when you turn them around.

Meh. It works as intended. Though your not wrong as it would have less redirect loss from having to swirl tight corners.

The short length of your vacuum instrument is causing the air flow to bypass the measuring process. slap a cardboard tube on so that the air stream is going to push on the flap without vacuum port interference.

Also you can drop it in a bucket and splash some gasoline or diesel on it and let it wash off and mix it into your waste oil to burn later.

Strangely this tar we are gonna see is highly resistant to solvents of every kind ive tried , however i have yet to try a polar solvent like butane
@DeliciousDeBlair
@DeliciousDeBlair 5 жыл бұрын
@@NOBOX7 One way to try butane would be to get a stainless steel [or very heavy gauge aluminum, but never a thin aluminum one!] pressure cooker, drop in the part, then purge the air [as we know air and fuel can ignite and in an enclosed space...not a great idea] then fill to let it sit a while in saturation. Since butane is a liquid at 32 F [ 0 C ] you can easily keep the pressure down below anything too dangerous. Some canning pressure cookers come with gauges [I have 3 of these] built in, although it would not be difficult to add one since most of them have pre-drilled threaded lids. One awesome advantage, should butane prove to work, is that you can 100% reclaim it without having to 'clean' [or filter] it simply by letting the container full of dirty butane warm up and be vented through the pressure cooker pressure stem and a piece of vinyl tubing into the original canister inside a freezer, OR, if its already really cold outside, just out in the cold air. If that worked [the dissolving of the creosote] you could repeatedly reuse the butane while always keeping a clean part. Another [also very dangerous, but for other reasons] powerful solvent which might work would be ammonium hydroxide. Since it is corrosive though, as well as it will dissolve copper, brass and bronze, it would certainly not be the number one choice for any parts with copper, aluminum, or magnesium in them. Also, no matter what temp you are at, you will always lose some ammonia from a hydrated mixture, so you would have to recharge your supply, and keep it in a cool dark place so the tank did not exceed the vapor pressure of the percentage of solution on hand. We all know that all such chemicals need to be kept in a well ventilated place, away from sparks, open flames, pets or small children.

Question I hope you can answer. How does the air flowing in from the bottom of the 2 know which side is the "exit" side versus the inlet side? Does 1 side need to be longer than the other or is the size of the inlet diameter versus the outlet diameter? Thanks. Great video by the way.

its like a ball rolling down a hill , its already going that way so to turn around and go the other ay would take a force

@@NOBOX7 so as long as the outlet is higher, it’ll flow that way?

Correct me if im wrong not trying to be argumentative but trying to follow. The red arrows indicate that you are blowing into the venturi to pull suction on the lid. If so were you blowing into the green venturi as well?

Rockets accelerate their exhaust gases with a bell on it, so it only tends to reason the same would be true on this machine as well.

so you and me seem to think alike. I have been designing something like this for my waste oil heater. The problem with moste waste oil heaters is that they force air in the heater. Now in ideal conditions that wil be fine. But if something is not ideal there might be toxic gasses coming in to the shop. I dont want to breath the crap that might come free from a waste oil burn all day. So my idea is have the exhaust suck the air in to the heater. I think it could get just as much air in to the heater as the blower is blowing in now. But if it sucks the air in it should allways suck the dangerous gasses back in as wel. And even a small leak in the exhaust system pre vacuum suction system it would not let exhaust fumes in my shop.

also the horn on there really makes it in to a proper venturi, small in the middle, then creating a low pressure as it widens out. And that low pressure makes the suction power on the exhaust. And in my research i think i found a system like this, they didnt really tel how it worked that wel. But the system was over 600$. Now if you build this yourself you can be done way under 100$ i think.

Yep a vacuum system or negative pressure system is the only way to go , if you got leaks then air just leaks into your furnace system

Hi NOBOX7, hope you are doing well. Recently, I was searching in venturi device. My plan is to make my own manufactured venturi rather than buying online. I searched alot but very least videos showed how its internal work. But I like your design and follow it to the rest. A very good result came out in first attempt. In my application, I transfered duck down from one place to another very effectively. Kindly visit my video link and review it, any recommendations will be highly appreciated. Thanks
