The industry-leading Ventus OGI optical gas imaging thermal camera is a low SWaP 640 x 512 resolution high-operating temperature (HOT) mid-wave infrared (MWIR) camera designed to detect and visualize hydrocarbon gases including methane, propane, butane and more. The camera is an invaluable tool in visually detecting hydrocarbon gas leaks, identifying point sources of leaks and delivering actionable information crews can use to not only mitigate harmful greenhouse gas leaks, but to meet regulatory requirements.
Optical gas imaging technology is used to visualize hydrocarbon gas leaks, identify point sources of leaks and deliver actionable information for mitigation of harmful greenhouse gas leaks, and documentation of steps taken to meet regulatory requirements. Sierra-Olympic's 640 x 512 resolution Ventus OGI camera meets OOOOa standards and is approved for inclusion in the Colorado Approved Instrument Monitoring Method (AIMM) for oil and gas. Per the Colorado AIMM "Approved Instrument Monitoring Method (AIMM) must be used to inspect components, storage tanks and natural gas-driven pneumatic controllers at well production facilities, natural gas compressor stations, and natural gas processing plants (storage tanks only) under the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR), Storage Tank Emission Management (STEM) and Natural Gas-Actuated Pneumatic Controller requirements of Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC) Regulation 7." The VGA resolution thermal camera is low SWaP, is designed for easy integration into a variety of manned and unmanned systems, UAV, UAS, ground and robotics, and features a high operating temperature (HOT) mid-wave infrared sensor designed for longer life and lower power usage.
Sierra-Olympic’s infrared cameras are designed and engineered to seamlessly integrate into complex thermal imaging systems, across a variety of platforms including fixed terrestrial, handheld, vehicle-mounted, robotic, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
Spanning products in the shortwave (SWIR), midwave (MWIR) and longwave infrared (LWIR) spectrum, Sierra-Olympic’s cameras range in size from ultra-low SWaP camera cores to larger cooled systems for long-range intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR).
