What about the DCT transmission heating issue in bumper to bumper traffic. I have seen hardly any youtuber is covering this topic. Ford, VW customers have suffered with similar transmissions earlier. Though DCT is an advanced transmission compared to AMT yet I would say AMT, torque converters or CVT/IVT are more reliable specially in Indian city ride conditions. Maintenance of DCT is also expensive. Logically you can see that Creta and Verna are available with IVT and AT transmissions, Aura is coming with AMT, elite i20 is with CVT. Hyundai is not offering DCT in any of these popular cars in India. Are we being a guinea pig by buying Venue DCT transmissions? Any good thoughts are welcome.

you need to educate yourself with following facts: 1. Creta sells more than Venue, always has, always will.. 2. Look at Kia Sonet's Feature list - Ventilated Seats, Front Parking Sensors.. Still think Venue has a good-enough feature-list? think again!

DCT is very new in market so it cant to judge its success rate. While if DCT is damaged or wish to change DCT in future then it could be too much expensive. And the one most important thing is ..DCT engine consume much petrol while other than gdi turbo engine..
