@@RedHerringTV thank you, that's great. It actually seems larger, on paper, than the Merula XL. Do you find that it's easier to insert? The Merula XL's bulbous base makes it sometimes difficult to insert and pop open.

Personally, I have an easier everything with the Venus over the Merula XL. Not to say the Merula XL is bad, but because the Venus Cup is softer, it's easier for me to manipulate.

If you are looking for a high capacity cup, I would absolutely recommend the Venus Large! I have been using the Venus cup for 3 cycles now & I love it! I took a chance on it because of the low price & the large capacity, which is one of the largest capacity cups I have seen. My previous cup was the Yuuki large, which I needs to empty after about 8 hours on my heavy days. I have been able to go the full 12 hours between changes with the Venus cup! I like the silky soft silicone of this cup. The firmness is similar to my Yuuki Soft cup; I would classify it as a medium-high firmness (like 3.5 - 4 out of 5). I have had no problems getting the cup to pop open & seal. The instruction book that comes with this cup is also very detailed. I am so glad I took a chance on the Venus cup! It is my new favorite!!

Hello! I have the Venus Cup. I also have a very high cervix and a heavy flow. This cup did get my cervix a nice hug. Unfortunately, at the time of removal, it was more comfortable being there than I was having it there. The shorter stem on the large did help me find the base. I squeezed the bottom release the seal of the ring. The cup still had a relenting grasp. After going for a second pinching of the cup I spilled some of my blood. That let me know that I could pull it all of the way out. I had worn the cup for 6 hours ,and filled it. That was a win for me. Despite the tight hug on my cervix. My merula hugs me, but I never have an issue with tugging or removal. For the rest of my cycle I switched to another cup. I will give it another try on my next cycle.

I just tried the Venus. I use the Super Jennie but wanted to try it bc of it’s high capacity. The shape of it is different from the Jennie so I think that was the only thing that I noticed differently. Plus I got an extra 30 min of wear on my heavy day. I get 2 with the Super Jennie. I’m waiting on a cup with a valve. Super excited to try that! Been using a cup for a little over a year. These are the only ones I’ve used.

Well, at least you have two cups that work even if they have about the same wear time. Too bad it didn't give you a couple hours extra. I have a couple of the valve type. I'm not a huge fan of them but I hope it works out for you. Let me know how it goes when you get a chance to try it. Good Luck

Red Herring Hi! I’ve been using the AIOW valve cup for this cycle. I do like it! It sucks when a clot or something clogs it but I push air through it while inside and it works to clear it. I fits better than my Super Jennie and Venus for me. Its a bit awkward when trying to reach the valve but not a big deal. It’s harder to get out though. Might be from the pressure being thrown off when I force air threw it when it’s clogged. Over all this and Super Jennie will be my go-to cups. The Venus shape just doesn’t work for my body. 🤷🏾‍♀️

@@robinm.1826 The AIOW was one of the easiest cups to insert. It just slid right into place. Wearing it was okay. I had to fold and tuck the stem in so that I couldn't feel it. Emptying it was the part that cause me the issue. Every time I pinched the dots, the seal would release and the cup wanted to slide out. I almost gave birth to it in the toilet a couple of times LOL Anyhow, I'm glad that you figured a way to get it to work for you and that it "fits" better than both of your other cups. One video that I would like to see would be the Super Jennie vs the Pixie Cup. The Pixie is one that I really want to like but is too short and has a regular capacity. It is very comfortable, but I have to birth it to remove it.

I ordered the Venus cup on Amazon on October 4th and used the code which worked, but something happened with the order, it had delivery issues and then was ultimately cancelled. I went to try ordering today, November 20, and now the code doesn’t work anymore!! 😢 Such a bummer, I had originally ordered the 2 pack but since the code isn’t working, I’m only going to buy one. Hopefully it comes and all works out.

Tried looking this up on Amazon, but to my disappointment we can only get the two-pack of cups in my country. No option to only buy one cup. Which makes it a deal breaker as I'm not paying extra for a cup size that I know I won't use. If you know the Venus cup company, are you able to feed this back to them?

@@RedHerringTV thanks for your response. Since I left the message i contacted the company and they suggested what you did, buy both and then sell the cup I won't use. In theory this would work, but unfortunately I would rather just move onto a cup a that takes less effort. Such a shame, but the convenience factor is completely gone if I have to think about somehow reselling my purchase before I've even made it. Thank you so much for your review, and hopefully one day I can just have the option of just buying the size I need. Keep up the great work!

I am ALWAYS having problems with leaking with my diva cup. What cup can you recommend for a larger cervix that won't have me wearing a pad each time?

To be honest, I can't guarantee that any cup will be 100% leak-free. However, there are some things you can double-check to make sure that the cup is positioned correctly to lower the chance or eliminate leaking altogether. 1. Squat on the ground when inserting the cup. It will bring your cervix closer to the vaginal opening. 2. Aim the folded cup down and back toward your tailbone and not straight up. 3. Allow the cup to open lower in the vaginal canal by only inserting it 1/2 way. Sometimes the cervix can be in the way of letting the rim expand open. 4. Insert a finger next to the cup to check for any folds/indents which can indicate that the rim didn't expand all the way. 5. Use a wet cloth or wipe to clean any excess blood off of the stem and grip rings. A lot of times people will think that they're leaking from the cup when it's just excess blood that was in the vaginal canal.
