I have a flytrap I bought from Lowes that has never produced tall summer traps, and never develops red coloring no matter how much sun it gets. I'm fairly confident I got an unidentified cultivator. I have before and was able to identify. I got a dente flytrap before a red dragon flytrap before and even what I'm fairly confident is a B52. Honestly, I've stopped calling flytraps I got from Lowes typicals.

Yes Lowe's Flytraps are pretty hardy. I noticed now the grower for them has stopped using peat as soil and replaced with coconut fiber I believe. You will probably notice also that the coconut fiber dries out very fast and by the time I see the plants at Lowes they are all dried up and dead. Thanks for watching !
