I seen this item. It's nice to have an actual review and breakdown just in case I decide to purchase in the future. I was actually looking for a review on a different Vera Bradley backpack and your video popped up in the list 😊. Thanks!

Thank you for an amazing review! I nearly busted out laughing when you pulled the packing cubes out. Wow! Exactly what I need on my trips. The clips are a concern, but I figured they would be easy to replace if need. I didn't realize it has a shoulder strap as well. Glad you mentioned it.

I’m wondering if it would be considered a personal item on Spirit airlines.

Glad it was helpful! The clips are holding up GREAT, shockingly, after two week long trips by flight with heavy loads and lots of taking on/off.

Thank you for the review, as I am researching the lay flat backpacks. Do you have an update on the buckles? Did they hold up?

Have you been able to fit this under the seat of the airplane?

Can you please do a video showing how does it compare to the new Lay Flat bagpack in ReActive? The website says they are both the same dimensions but they just don't look like the same size.

I don’t have that bag to show a comparison, so sorry

Holding up great! I have taken it on several trips, stretching out the seams with how much I packed, and I have had no issues whatsoever. It’s a great bag

Would this bag fit under the seat in an airplane?

I’m not the maker of this video, but I believe the largest bag I’ve ever been able to squeeze under most airline seats was 25L stuffed to the max, unfortunately. But if you don’t stuff it completely and secure a window seat, a 30L bag *could* fit. I ended up ordering the Vera Bradley Recycled Lighten Up Reactive Lay Flat Travel Backpack, which is carry-on compliant, but a good deal smaller than this (the website states it “measures 13 inches wide, 21 inches high, & 9 inches deep with a laptop compartment that can accommodate up to a 15 [inch] laptop.”) I use compression packing cubes anyhow, so I’m curious to see how much I can actually fit into it. I intend to use the lay flat bag for 1-3 day trips, and have another VB bag (Vera Bradley Women's Lighten Up Journey Backpack) which I use as a personal item partnered with a carry-on suitcase for 3+ day travel. Hopefully both bags can be personal item compliant (fit under the seat), but the latter pack I listed is 3 inches shorter than the former. And I’m an aisle seat kinda person…

I have not tried but I always travel coach and I feel confident saying it would NOT fit, it would be too long. And packed out, probably too thick as well. It would most definitely stick out.
