I restored a similar one, found at my wife's parent's house in France. It had been used as a flowerpot, and the adjuster wheel was smashed. It wasn't a great resto, but good enough to mount and display in the garden. Videos like your gave me hope, and taught me some useful skills.

I've never ground my own flour but I used to bake bread twice a week for the whole family - I'd love to start that again, it tasted so much better than the bread available in supermarkets. He caught it, but it wasn't until I put the mill back together, I was constantly focusing on the auger what was inside, that I didn't realize that 1/2 of the grinding plate was missing. The mill will be displayed on a shelf in the museum, so hopefully it won't be too bad.

I admire your welding skill! Sixty years ago I had to braise the cracked radiator base on an old tractor, and it took many steps, with cooling in a hot tub of sand for a day after. The welders we had were stick types.

About 80% of cast iron can be welded in this way, if there is more carbon in it, the weld does not hold.

@@VeradonaRestoration That was the concern with the radiator base, that there would be a hole left to leak. The brazing has lasted all these years. I used a carbon arc to heat the iron, then melted and flowed the brass in the crack while still hot. Great work.

I like your channel a lot. But here's a criticism: You used to make much more detailed restoration in the earlier videos. Example: Food grade inside paint, detailed delicate correction of casting faults, filling the holes on the metal with filler. It took longer for sure but with much more effort the better. But one must admit that you are still one of the best restorators around. 👍👍

Loved the restoration. But a bit puzzled on two things. There was not a demonstration of how the grinder worked and Veronica’s side glance at the end. Made me feel like maybe something was bothering her at the end of the video?

Just out of curiosity... how do you tell the difference between a positive lead result and that you're testing red paint and it could be color transfer to the swab?

The tampon is soaked in water to activate it. It has no soluble paint thinners on it.

Copak nádherná práce - ale je potřeba DOKOUKAT AŽ DO KONCE, kde je v posledních pár vteřinách kratičký videovysvětlení i tý absence ukázky funkčnosti. Taky jsem celou dobu Veroničina závěrečnýho popisnýho monologu čekal, kdy odněkud vytáhne odměrku s pšenicí a nasype ji do násypky. Možná to měl Radek dát jako poznámku do samotnýho videa, když točil celkovou kompletaci, ale u šroťáku chybí podstatná část, kterou je pohyblivá drticí deska mlecího složení, která byla naklínkovaná zepředu na výstupek šnekovýho hřídele a pomocí těch šroubů a matek na odnímatelný čelní desce se nastavoval přítlak = jemnost mletí vsypávanýho zrní. PROTO nešla udělat funkční ukázka - jinak věřím tomu, že pár hrstí nějakýho zrní by Radek určitě někde vyšťáral a semlel (respektive nechal semlít Veroniku). A maličká vsuvka nakonec - Radku, vloudila se ti chybička do titulkování, u sekvence moření nový základnový desky v čase 11:41 a dál máš českej titulek "Lihové mořidlo, odstín světlý ořech", ale v EN popisku máš "Beeswax" neboli "včelí vosk" (kterým jsi nakonec upravoval rukojeť na pohon). To ti nejspíš uteklo - není nikdo dokonalej.

Ano příteli přesně tak, není nikdo dokonalí. Tentokrát se mi z duplikovali popisky, ale všiml jsem si toho až u vydaného videa :( Jinak děkuji za vysvětlení :)

Díky Pavle , tentokrát byla renovace jen na půl. Při rozdělávání mlýnku jsem se soustředil jen na mlecí šnek a vůbec jsem si nevšiml, že tam půlka mlecího mechanizmu chybí. Až jsem mlýnek dával dohromady, říkám a je to v pyt... co s tím? No nic se nedá dělat, mlecí mechanizmus není zrovna ta část, která by šla lehce vyrobit . Ani majitel mlýnku to netušil. Co se dá dělat, není vždy posvícení ...
