G'day from Sydney (again). Well, you started off with this harrowing epic, which has been described as "the greatest music video of all time". Dimash spent 3 years and $7M of his own funds composing this piece and creating the video. As you said, the production values are way up there and the music/voice combo is breathtaking. Key plot points are: Dimash is the boy who was drowning and the Dictator ("Piper") saved him. The girl wanted to be with Dimash and they got married and had a little girl. The Piper, rejected, chose a different path. During the battle, the daughter is killed and the wife dies in childbirth. When Dimash learns what his former friend has done, he comes seeking revenge. And so all 3 kids from the Beach die on the same day. But their second child, a young boy, survives and grows up to be a religious figure who is seen leading people of all faiths to a better future. As for requests, I would suggest: Be with Me (the music video showcases Dimash's acting in a very upbeat way); Know (2019, although comparing it to the very different 2020 version is interesting); El Amor en Ti (unreal); and of course his Pearl Fisher's Duet with Placido Domingo (Dimash going 100% operatic at last). Da hast du dir gleich den ganz harten Tobak für deine erste Reaction nach dem Jahr Auszeit ausgesucht. Dimash hat 3 Jahre an dem Stück komponiert und hat auch das Drehbuch dazu geschrieben. Die Kriegsszenen wurden in Kaliningrad gedreht und die anderen in einem Canyon in Kasachstan. Er hat den ganzen Track selber gesungen und ist er nicht auch ein wunderbarer Schauspieler? Aber letztendlich geht es gar nicht darum, sondern um die Message, die er damit vermitteln möchte. Wir sind alle Menschen, wir atmen die gleiche Luft und wir leben alle unter dem gleichen Himmel und sollten uns, egal welcher Religion wir angehören oder welche politische Ausrichtung wir haben, nicht bekriegen sondern gemeinsam unsere Zukunft gestalten; uns für das Leben entscheiden. Bei seinen Liveperformances von diesem Lied endet er immer mit „We need peace!“. Ich habe viele Tränen bei dem Lied vergossen und tue es immer noch. Man muss es auch mehrmals sehen, hören und die Lyrics genau analysieren um all die Symbolik zu entdecken.

Karin, ich freu mich immer zwischen den vielen internationalen Kommentaren auch deine zu lesen 💕 Hab das Gefühl, viele in Deutschland kennen Dimash noch gar nicht. So schade 🥹 Ja, ich hab ehrlich gesagt nicht mit SO einem Meisterwerk gerechnet. War nach der Aufnahme ziemlich perplex und musste viel rumgestammel rausschneiden, weil mein Kopf noch verarbeiten musste, was ich da gesehen hatte. Der Wahnsinn! Ich habe gerade auch gelesen, dass Dimash selbst 3 Jahre lang an der Produktion gearbeitet und über 7 Millionen Dollar investiert hat um seiner Message Ausdruck zu verleihen. Ich bin so tief gerührt. Es müsste viel mehr Menschen wie ihn geben, dann wäre diese Welt ein besserer Ort 😭💕 Wir sind alle Menschen - We need peace! Das ist so wahr!

@@VerasReaction das mit den 7 Millionen stimmt nicht. Das kam durch einen Übersetzungsfehler bzw. Deutungsfehler zustande. Teuer war nicht im Sinne von Produktionskosten gemeint sondern wertvoll im Sinne von etwas ist mir lieb und teuer, für mich wertvoll. Manche Dears hatten das nicht genau hinterfragt und haben das teuerste Musikvideo der Geschichte genommen und noch ein bisschen was drauf gepackt und behaupten jetzt, dass das Dimash Video das teuerste Musikvideo aller Zeiten sei. Gut, die Produktion war sicher nicht günstig, aber was sie gekostet hat, weiß niemand, denn über sowas würde Dimash im Leben nicht sprechen. So langsam wird Dimash auch in Deutschland bekannter, aber es ist immer noch sehr zäh. Da es Dimash derzeit anscheinend etwas mehr nach Europa zieht, bin ich vorsichtig optimistisch, dass es besser wird.

Hello Vera! This is a very difficult video to start with after one year, but very much worth it. Thank you for your sincere reaction! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony. The fan cam version shows the camera crew at times filming which I think is super interesting. For me I think the live performances are even better. ❤

So schön wieder eine Reaktion von dir auf Dimash zu sehen, aber du startest gleich richtig mit den harten Sachen. Es ist ein absolutes Meisterwerk und es bewegt viele Menschen aller Nationen. Diese Botschaft wird von allen verstanden. Es unvorbereitet und ohne Kontext zu sehen, ist ganz schön heftig. Ich habe mehrere Anläufe gebraucht, um das alles zusammenzubekommen und es ist jedes Mal verdammt schwer anzuschauen. Die Premiere des Liedes fand 2022 bei seinem Konzert in Almaty statt und ich finde die live Version fast noch schwerer. Ich habe noch nie jemanden gesehen, der so sein Herz und seine Seele auf der Bühne gelassen hat. Mal abgesehen davon, dass es unglaublich ist, was er da stimmlich leistet. Die Leute, die dort dabei waren, werden das vermutlich ihr Leben lang nicht mehr vergessen. Eine solch wichtige Botschaft kann man nur teilen und hoffen, dass jeder, der es sieht, für sich darüber nach denkt. Sich so klar und eindeutig für Frieden und Zusammenhalt Aller zu positionieren, soviel Zeit (3 Jahre) und Geld für etwas zu investieren, was definitiv nicht Mainstream geeignet ist, verdient allen Respekt und Anerkennung.

Welcome back Vera you were missed here on KZbin. Wow did you decide to jump into the emotional deep end here coming back with The Story of One Sky. As soon as I saw you had seen this I was thinking 'oh no this is going to leave her a crying mess on the floor'. This project has been something Dimash had been working on for a number of years and he was finally able to make it happen. I have not seen anyone who has watched it not be deeply emotionally affected. Possibly at least for now his Magnum Opus.

Vera, loved your genuine emotions and reaction. This was Dimash's masterpiece. He took 3 years to compose it and a lot of hard work went into making this MV (more like a short movie). He pour his heart and soul into it and doing his best to convey his goal of striving for world peace. Dimash was the young boy being saved from drowning and given a second chance at life. His friend/savior and him both loved the girl, but the girl loved Dimash. When the story fast forward to their adult life, you see her with their young daughter trying to escape the horrors of war, while she was pregnant with their second child. My heart aches every time the scene came to Dimash finding his dead daughter in the bombed out apartment and he cried his heart out. That's why as much as I love this song and its message, I had to always brace myself to watch through that scene. I always cry when I see that. Dimash took out his old friend/military guy, but still ended up being killed by his soldiers. A sacrifice to end further carnage. Then you see people from all religions came together and walked together, following the son born to Dimash who looked exactly like his father Dimash leading the people to brighter future. Powerful message.

Thank you so very much for such an honest heartfelt emotional genuine reaction. I have seen many different reactions to this but never have I seen such a real reaction. Now you have seen this you must please do a reaction to the live version at Dimash Almaty concert. In the live performance you will find yourself really taking note of Dimash voice. The emotion and energy he puts into the song wears him out so much so that he had to have a rest, but clever Dimash carried on with the show, singing El Amor En Ti straight after the Story Of One Sky. Hello Vera, it’s good to see you back again. It took Dimash 3 years to create this masterpiece. It’s very sad to see 3 childhood friends become enemies. The older boy saved the young Dimash’s life, but because of his evil ways, causing the death of the daughter of (Dimash) the friend that he saved, his friend ended up killing him. Dimash’s character dies as his ‘wife’ gives birth to his baby son. That son grows up to lead all religions to the light, to a better life. Hence the necklace passing from the young Dimash character to the new baby, who then has grown up and wants to make the world a better place. Dimash cares so much for this world, he isn’t just the best singer on the planet, he’s an humanitarian and a peacemaker. He really is one of a kind. Than you for your heartfelt reaction, every time I watch/listen to it, it makes me cry too 😘 xx
